The FBI has *ARRESTED* a sitting judge in Milwaukee, over allegations it obstructed immigration enforcement.

No, we are defending the gd Constitution that affords DUE PROCESS to all.

I think he should be deported and I hope he is again. But it needs done the legal way. JFC, how do you not understand the difference?

if you're fine with no due process for the brown illegals, then I hope you'll be ok with no due process when it is your turn to be rounded up.

This is insane. Other than ensuring he the correct person what process is due? So if someone makes their way into our country we cannot make them leave without a time and resources consuming hearing? What about visa overstays? Hearings for them? There would be no reason to have a border or a nation-state

You can't barge in to a judge's courtroom. Wait outside. It's not hard.

Arresting judges on fake charges that will get tossed is not the way to remove illegal immigrants. I can't see why you think it would be.

They were outside.

Are you even familiar with this case at all?!

There is nothing illegal about arresting an illegal immigrant in a courthouse.

Then what was their beef with the judge?

If she doesn’t get the maximum sentence permissible to be served at SuperMax, then I don’t want to hear squat about Due Process and the rule of law. The legal system is getting its gut check moment.

She was ELECTED.

According to Trump and MAGA, that means she has a MANDATE to do WHATEVER she wants, right?
She has IMMUNITY for all OFFICIAL ACTS, just like Trump.

Where's the lie?

Or immune from ANY law, for that matter, by virtue of being a judge?

Could a judge be arrested for DUI? Or assault? Or tax evasion?

If yes, then aren’t those also authoritarianism, too?

Democrats are getting too far out over their skis here on this stuff.

Ok, so you are not getting it. She was arrested for adjudicating a case. Not hiding someone in her basement.

Oh, I “GET” exactly what happened here. A sitting judge assisted a person subject to compliance with a lawful order and helped that person evade custody.

If you or I did such a thing for a person subject to an order from the judge, this same judge would lock us up for it.

This is what I meant about getting too far out over our skis. Stuff like this is HORRIBLE for making claims of authoritarianism, because as soon as you look into it beyond a headline, it falls apart. Then Dems look like the boy who cried wolf.

DP. No. ICE did not have an arrest warrant from a judge. They just had an administrative warrant similar to a subpoena. They can wait outside like everyone else, and the judge does not have to allow them entry.

Arresting immigrants at courthouses is bad policy, as most everyone already knows. Trump doesn't care about policy because he doesn't think long term, when something goes wrong he blames someone else and quits/declares bankruptcy/sure. That's not working well for him in negotiating peace or in these taritf "negotiations" and it won't go well for him here.

To everyone else reading this who is NOT an officer of the court, it comes off as a judge holding the front door shut while allowing a criminal to escape custody out the back door. Because that’s exactly what it is.

This is exactly the stuff Dems shouldn’t be citing, because it’s a sham. People see right through it, and it gives credibility to R’s when they levy accusations against Dems that Dems support illegal immigration.

Why give them useful weapons to use against us?

The whole thing was a set up and the judge wanted no part of it on either side. Patel's tweet that he deleted confirms the same.

This post? That is right there on his timeline?

So, this illegal alien was being tried for domestic assault. The two victims who he beat up - violently - were in the court room ready to testify. When the judge found out that ICE was present she became furious, took the illegal alien out and escorted him out through the private jury door. ICE chased him down and arrested him.

This is a man who had been previously deported, BTW. And, entered illegally again.

Why are democrats so eager to protect and support illegal alien criminals?

As a Dem who despises Trump, I have no idea why other Dems get so worked up about this stuff. Who cares?

Because you are a Dem, obstructing justice by siding and abetting the Biden Crime Family, the President has already declared that you are a terrorist and an enemy of the state, and you'll be next after the easy targets are rounded up.

They didn’t have a beef with her at all. She approached the officers who were waiting in the hallway:

“When Judge Dugan learned ICE officers were present in court to arrest Flores-Ruiz, she became "visibly angry" and said the situation was "absurd" before leaving the bench and entering her chambers, according to the complaint, which cited witnesses who spoke to the FBI.

Judge Dugan and another unidentified judge then allegedly approached the arrest team in the public hallway, according to the complaint. She was "visibly upset and had a confrontational, angry demeanor" and asked one of the officers whether they were present for a court appearance, the complaint alleged.”

She sent them to go talk to another judge, then helped this illegal immigrant avoid arrest by letting him know ICE was outside and sending him out the back exit that the judge uses.

There is no proof that there was an illegal there. There is no proof that the judge did anything. This is just Gestapo tactics.

You know that and support it. Can't wait till you get denounced and arrested

You’re unhinged. Yes there was a warrant, yes he had been deported once before and snuck back in, yes he was in court for domestic violence, yes she snuck him out the back. This is all uncontested.

From what I am hearing Trump is going to have a very difficult time before any federal court. Anything that favors Trump will be slow walked and any filing will just sit. The opposite will happen when Trump f's over the Constitution. Buckle up losers.

6-7 years per charge!

She could face a civil lawsuit if the ICE agents were injured engaging in an unnecessary pursuit arrest because of her actions.

But they had an administrative warrant here, not a judicial one. BIG difference.

Doesn’t matter. The charges are “obstructing or impeding a proceeding before a department of agency of the United States” and “concealing an individual to prevent his discovery and arrest.”

From the filing:

On or about April 17, 2025, an authorized immigration official foundprobable cause to believe Flores-Ruiz was removable from the United States and issued a warrantfor his arrest. The warrant provided, “YOU ARE COMMANDED to arrest and take into custodyfor removal proceedings under the Immigration and Nationality Act, the above-named alien[Flores-Ruiz identified on warrant].” Upon his arrest, Flores-Ruiz would be given a Notice ofIntent/Decision to Reinstate Prior Order.

Small misdemeanor charges that defendants always showed up for in-person are now being skipped.

These include minor charges like driving without a license, unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance, etc. where typically the defendant could show up to court, provide proof to the judge that they'd obtained a license/insurance/registered their vehicle and have the charge dismissed. They'd only need to pay a small court fee. But now judges are giving out max fines and for class 2, 3, and 4 misdemeanors if the person isn't present. They are issuing bench warrants for class 1 misdemeanors when they don't show.

If I was at court with 10 defendants with a mix of class 2-4 misdemeanor charges over a few days, I may have had 1 no show. Now? It is more like 50-75% are no shows. And I haven't had a class 1 misdemeanor defendant no-show in years but have unfortunately had 2 no-show this week.

If you are here illegally you should be scared. Having a bench warrant means they can be arrested and deported.

I’m ok with that.

The didn’t have a bench warrant. They had an Administrative warrant. Not the same. At all.
