They are issuing bench warrants for class 1 misdemeanors when they don't show.

If I was at court with 10 defendants with a mix of class 2-4 misdemeanor charges over a few days, I may have had 1 no show. Now? It is more like 50-75% are no shows. And I haven't had a class 1 misdemeanor defendant no-show in years but have unfortunately had 2 no-show this week.    [/quote]

If you are here illegally you should be scared. Having a bench warrant means they can be arrested and deported.
