The charges are “obstructing or impeding a proceeding before a department of agency of the United States” and “concealing an individual to prevent his discovery and arrest.” From the filing: On or about April 17, 2025, an authorized immigration official foundprobable cause to believe Flores-Ruiz was removable from the United States and issued a warrantfor his arrest. The warrant provided, “YOU ARE COMMANDED to arrest and take into custodyfor removal proceedings under the Immigration and Nationality Act, the above-named alien[Flores-Ruiz identified on warrant].” Upon his arrest, Flores-Ruiz would be given a Notice ofIntent/Decision to Reinstate Prior Order.
