Lol, not a Maga. I just hate MAGAts, including APE who pretend to be progressive democrats, but who cozy to Youngkin instead. But thanks for playing. |
Yes he does, 2. |
Sorry, that was a typo. Educators group. He was a helpful colleague |
Do you think he wouldn’t commit himself to job if he gets elected? What are you basing that on? |
Sure I think it's a relevant question - why elect someone who works in DCPS and who has no kids in APS? How invested can he be? Haven't you noticed he's not very vocal or active this year now that he's no longer in APS? Also, a lot of Board members spend significant time in the schools during the week. How is he going to do that? |
Ok but that was in the past. He's not in APS anymore. And I'm not saying he wasn't a good colleague, I'm sure he was. But that's not the same as being a good board member. |
An active APS teacher cannot serve on the school board. He has kids in college so needs his salary. What else could he do but take another teaching job? |
So is it your position that only people with children currently in APS are qualified to serve on the SB? There is no one in the race who knows APS as well as Paul Weiss does. |
No. He merely doesn't jump to gender transitioning treatment the moment a kid says they want to use different pronouns. Part of REAL medical care is taking the child through the appropriate process of determining what it is they are feeling and experiencing and why, and ensuring that they are indeed genuinely transgender. That's responsible medical care - and responsible parenting. |
I didn't accuse the PP of BEING a MAGA, just using the same hyperbolic type language of one. This is the problem in our society - people don't see that they do the same thing and deny it because it isn't the exact same words or coming from the same perspective. Add a republican and our schools WILL BE GONE! Elect the democrats and OUR COUNTRY WILL BE GONE, ELECTIONS WILL BE GONE! |
I don't see anything wrong with including solid medical expertise and scientific findings in the conversation. I don't think parents of transgender students who have been properly cared for medically/are being properly cared for medically and have been found to truly be transgender would entirely disagree with Rives' medical perspective for genuine transgender people. He is merely saying that not ALL cases ultimately lead to a person actually needing/wanting permanently changing their gender identity or requiring physical treatment. You shouldn't give bipolar medication to someone saying they're bipolar without actually going through the process of determining whether they are indeed bipolar. |
This is the double talk that APEs are known for. Nice try 👏👏 |
No they’re right. Basically any discussion of APS eventually gets ruined when someone calls APE, most likely by someone who hasn’t paid attention to anything they’ve done since 2021. |
DP. Remember when we all said you put RvW at risk if you vote for Rs and you said “don’t worry, it’s safe”? Yeah, we DGAF what you say. Rs hurt women, schools, democracy, lgbtq, etc. |
You mean like write RWNJ crap in their newsletter and quietly support Youngkin? Even when he was cutting APS budget, etc? |
