They have already infiltrated several committees/workgroups. And are quietly pushing RW agenda. They have to lie to accomplish their goals here in blue Arlington, but they are determined and have already succeeded once: Miranda. The point is we don't want any more lying Rs on the SB. |
I truly hope it works out in his favor! |
Zuraya’s only educational qualification is the big D behind her name, and the fat election fund which comes with it. She’s here for the political benefits, not the schools. |
Lol, no, I'm not part of any of the campaigns. While I am a Dem, I am not involved in Arl Dems either. I do really like one of the candidates, Kathleen Clark, and have problems with each of the other three for various reasons. |
+1. It's scary. |
Clark swept that election. Pretty big margin over #2 Tapia-Hadley. Wonder how T-H feels about that?
Weiss a distant third, but bested Rives who’s in dead last. Embarrassing for Rives. |
I doubt it’s embarrassing for him… he was the only non-Democrat. Of course he never had a chance. |
why keep running just to lose? |
What do people make of Clark beating Tapia-Hadley? I think it was the opposite back in the Dem primary. |
If things were reversed and you found yourself as a Democrat in a majority Republican community with rubber-stamped Republican candidates always victorious, why would you run? To get your voice heard, your different point of view heard. Or, you could not run and do nothing to change the status quo that you loathe. |
Paul wasn't running as a Dem either and even he beat Rives, and he did it as a first time candidate without a whole lot of effort. |
If he runs again, he's going to become Audrey Clement. |
Yes- he was running as a democrat. He even put that on his signs. He just didn’t have the all mighty ACDC endorsement. |
that doesn't mean anything. he wasn't endorsed by the dems, wasn't on their sample ballots |
That enough people in the know appreciated that Kathleen actually has real credentials and experience and gave their other vote most likely to Paul or only cast one vote. Zuraya still had her name on the D sample ballot so of course she was going to win, but people paying attention knew she was actually the least qualified candidate among the four. |
