Voting Rives
why?
Different poster, but I will vote for Rives, too. We need some balance on this school board and some different perspectives. He has a different background, different professional experience.
No thx to anti trans
He’s not antitrans. And even if he was, which he isn’t, people can care about more than one issue
What do you mean? He spoke out against APS's pro trans policy!!! AGIA opposes him!
He advocated for APS to slow down and more thoughtfully consider more credible scientific sources of information before rushing to adopt its proposed policy. AGIA is going to oppose anyone who questions any single individual questioning their gender.
You don't think we should listen to the group that is comprised of parents with trans students? you don't think they know best?
I don't see anything wrong with including solid medical expertise and scientific findings in the conversation. I don't think parents of transgender students who have been properly cared for medically/are being properly cared for medically and have been found to truly be transgender would entirely disagree with Rives' medical perspective for genuine transgender people. He is merely saying that not ALL cases ultimately lead to a person actually needing/wanting permanently changing their gender identity or requiring physical treatment. You shouldn't give bipolar medication to someone saying they're bipolar without actually going through the process of determining whether they are indeed bipolar.
