Voting Rives
why?
Different poster, but I will vote for Rives, too. We need some balance on this school board and some different perspectives. He has a different background, different professional experience.
No thx to anti trans
He’s not antitrans. And even if he was, which he isn’t, people can care about more than one issue
What do you mean? He spoke out against APS's pro trans policy!!! AGIA opposes him!
He advocated for APS to slow down and more thoughtfully consider more credible scientific sources of information before rushing to adopt its proposed policy. AGIA is going to oppose anyone who questions any single individual questioning their gender.
yeah in other words he opposed the pro trans policy. It sounds like you do too. What do you think slow down means. And every credible medical authority is pro gender affirming care. No thanks to his and your alternative medical sources, whatever those are. It's scary that he's a psychiatrist out there treating people. We don't need him anywhere close to the school board. you either, go spew your anti trans hate somewhere else, it's not welcome in Arlington!
No. He merely doesn't jump to gender transitioning treatment the moment a kid says they want to use different pronouns. Part of REAL medical care is taking the child through the appropriate process of determining what it is they are feeling and experiencing and why, and ensuring that they are indeed genuinely transgender. That's responsible medical care - and responsible parenting.
