Bullis HOS “exit was messier than it appeared” according to the Post

And neither do you. But glad there are still institutions that still exist that do not cancel someone before due process has run its course. Might be too much for you to comprehend.

I comprehend quite well. I suspect that the coach in question will be losing his position soon enough.

They took on a $38 million bond via Montgomery County in 2014-15? "Bullis also received a $38 million bond from Montgomery County that it will have to pay back to help finance the project."

https://bethesdamagazine.com/bethesda-beat/schools/bullis-school-celebrates-groundbreaking-for-27-million-expansion-project/

Is their enrollment stable through this and Covid-19? With so much debt, an 800 pupil school really can't afford to lose 50-100 kids.

Hate to break it to you but your disapproval of a coach will not factor into any decision making. Keep hating tho!

Think you need to petition the court and also be careful of what you say.

The leadership from the board is disgusting, its deeper than the current chairman of the board.

Agree that things will not change anytime soon. The same Board means the same policies. The biggest pet peeve I have is the recruiting and admitting students in 11th and 12th grade because of a SPORT. They need to get rid of ALL coaches that are not teaching at the school. Why does the school pay for outside coaches? It is all really disgusting and I'm angry that I'm a full pay.

My biggest pet peeve is giving "financial aid" to athletes whose families absolutely can afford to be full pay, but are enticed into coming for a sport cough::lax::cough.

Charges getting dropped also doesn't mean you're guilty.

I do not get all the shock and amazement of the circumstances at Bullis. The HOS’ actions seem to Be a logical Consequence and match for the values of the school...and those values start with he parents who choose to enroll their children.

Even in a post pandemic world there will continue to be much demand for what they offer.....

I mean, Beauvoir employed a pedophile who became #1 on the FBI's Most Wanted list and it hasn't hurt them any.

Well, yeah that was a bad hire by B and weak on boundary issues/ school policies on tutoring etc...

But as soon as Bin Laden was nailed, guess who took his spot on the FBI Top 10 list

If your a Pedo, wrong school to choose is one where the Deputy Head of FBI is a parent

“bad hire”

That’s quite the understatement. But thanks for proving the point!

Can someone explain the $600,000 parting gift in Wapo? Was she given a multi-year contract and wanted to be paid in full when let go? That sounds like roughly three years of wages and fringe.

The headmaster has a checkered past, makes you wonder if the school really did their diligence when hiring him in the first place.

With that being said he did increase Bullis enrollment by 20% during his tenure and raised funds for a stunning STEM building.

Although they built the incredibly expensive stem building without talking to any of the teachers about what they needed, so it doesnt have eye wash stations, didnt have bookcases or shelves for teachers’ books (and didnt allow teachers to bring in their own bookshelves), and other pretty obvious design flaws. Very pretty, though

And they base the budget on 100% enrollment, unrealistic even in a good year, and leaving no cushion at all for a rainy day

He put the school in debt and recruited football players for a tiny school. Great job.
