4 students in University of Idaho, killed in their home.

At this point the situation is so sad and IMO crazy that anything could be possible.

That would be strange and their location could be tracked, so I doubt they would do that.

The first suspect will be the ex bf. If not him, a potential serial killer may be lurking.

Other recent events are strange. I dog was skinned like a deer. A man flashed a knife at a student. A couple in Oregon were knifed while sleeping.

I just listened to it at krem.com

Nothing really new. There are a lot of resources being thrown at the case. The school seems to be handling it sensitively (in terms of current students). But no real news about the case was revealed.

There are 4 local detectives, 20 state police investigators, and 44 FBI investigators/profilers on this case. There are also a lot of local and state police officers on patrol. It is a sprawling investigation in scope. I’m terms of sheer terror, for the community it must be like how it felt during the DC sniper situation.

Small pieces of info but: NY Times is reporting that the roommates called friends over bc they believed one of the girls on the 2nd floor was passed out and not responding to them- the 911 call was placed after the friends arrived.

a neighbor’s surveillance camera has footage of the MM and KG arriving home at 1:56am- so there were some cameras that had footage of the house.

Was the door locked to the 2nd floor from the basement? Also, wasn't the front door wide open? So maybe they saw front door open and tried calling b/c they didn't want to enter house?

I’m not sure. I did read that the cops walked right in but if the cops arrived after friends had been at the house, who knows if the doors had been locked overnight. Also unclear about who locked their bedroom doors at night, and why is the surviving roommates and friends feared for one of them, why wouldn’t they go in the room and check? Maybe they did but the details are still not totally clear or known as it’s probably relevant to the investigation.

That is very creepy.

True, but if you read the article it happened 23 days ago and 3 miles away. Not what the title implies.

What do you mean? I think the fact that someone did that to an animal with a knife and not far away from their residence is ominous.

Sounds like some psycho was on the loose. I don't blame other students for being terrified.

It's Idaho. Rural. 23 days ago and 3 miles away. Not relevant

3 miles is close, especially in rural areas.
