Yes. Or maybe by a boyfriend of a surviving roommate, who had stayed the night. The police have not been clear about how many people were in that house. |
Police giving a press conference at 4:00 today |
Why would someone not use their own phone to call 911 and need to use roommate’s phone? Also, why would the called say the victim was unconscious and fail to mention 4 murders? Doesn’t that sound odd to anyone? |
The 911 call was made on roommates phone but not by roommates. Either person came over and somehow closest phone was surviving roommates (left in car? Phone dead? Was overnight guest if someone’s? Was parent/adult and phone was less accessible? Who knows.) but LE said early that 911 was not made by roommates. And they have now said 911 was made on roommates phone. It would not be worded that way unless call was not made by roommate. I actually do not find this that odd. The strangest thing to me is murdered friend called Ex right after roomies sequence of calls and likely within 30 minutes of death. I bet there are also texts to him and that will be they key to solving. |
NP here. The boyfriend to whom the calls were made appears to be innocent. His family AND the family of the girlfriend who as killed both say he's innocent. and are both standing behind him. Apparently they've been a couple for a very long time, both families expected them to get married. There is no explanation as to why the girlfriend called him so many times, but maybe they were in a fight or she was trying to track him down or she was calling for help. Who knows. But it doesn't sound like he was involved. |
The easiest answer would be the ex bf. The other alternatives, include a stranger who may strike out again. The police may have their hands full. |
I agree I think it is unlikely he is involved. And I don’t think it is strange SHE called him. But her BFF also called him 3 times right before murder and that I find strange. I think they wanted to relay something to him and could have texted him something relevant. I stand by I think that communication is key to solving case but not that I think he is the killer. I just don’t think people turn into that overnight. And physically he is so much smaller than the make that was killed. They must have known each other and I can’t believe he would attack the other male. |
If they left their phone in their car. And the first thing they saw when they entered the home was an unconscious person. If you saw that you would likely grab the first phone you saw and not search the house for other ailing people. |
We don't know, but it could be because he was unable to reach the person he wanted by phone. Sounds like everyone there lives close to everyone else. |
I think people are both underestimating the challenge of coherent reporting to 911 when you have just walked into a crime scene and the way that the 911 dispatcher may have had a babbling person on the phone and recorded info in a way that didn't reflect the most important point. |
Where on reddit are you guys finding updates? |
They could have lost consciousness due to blood loss. The friend who called probably did not inspect them for knife wounds. We don't know how the EMT's would describe their injuries, just what the 911 caller said. |
I missed the press conference on this, anyone hear it? |
What if the killer took the phone with them and made the call several hours later him/herself?
At this point the situation is so sad and IMO crazy that anything could be possible. |
Search “University of Idaho” and a lot comes up. |
