If people don't have to be licensed drivers to walk in a parking lot, there is no requirement for driver's licenses. If there is no requirement for driver's licenses, I won't bother to renew mine. |
Maybe all day but with the SAME PEOPLE who (until the rules changed, again) all had to quarantine if one was positive. So what was the point of wearing a mask? |
You've said all of this in your other thread. We heard you already. Enough already. You didn't have to start another thread to say it all again. |
DP. That’s a hilarious way to attempt a bogus analogy. That’s kind of how it works now in Montgomery County. Don’t kid yourself. MoCo doesn’t enforce many laws - from driver laws to immigration laws to zoning laws. Do you have any idea how many people are driving around without insurance? My neighbor’s car was hit by an uninsured driver and there was nothing she could do. Do you realize how many illegal rentals there are in the county? And people driving around without a license? I mean, if the county wants to pass random laws and then let people ignore them, I guess that’s where we’re at now. |
Then you should just say, "I don't wear a mask because I don't wanna and nobody's gonna make me." |
Good thing there is a simple solution for when you can't hear folks because of the mask: ask them to speak more loudly and clearly. It is a far easier problem to solve than overrun hospitals unable to tend adequately to covid and non-covid patients or than people dying or being left disabled by Covid. I know I would rather the inconvenience of a mask than the inconvenience of having to find a hospital bed for a loved one facing a serious medical emergency. |
If you’re vaccinated or have had covid prior and recovered, you won’t be overrunning any hospitals. You’re going to feel sick for a few days to a week, and then you’ll get over it. Assuming you get sick at all. FFS people

- A: The vaccinated are not overruning any hospitals. But we are still spreading the disease. - B: The unvaccinated still are overruning hospitals in many areas of the country. - C: Thirty percent of the country remains unvaccinated, but we have no way of easily identifying who is and who isn't vaccinated. - Therefore, we must all continue to wear masks because of the selfish 30 percent of Americans who stubbornly refuse to get vaccinated. |
Nope. Such misinformation. We continue to wear masks because the political leaders in MoCo are complete hypocrites and would rather push useless mask mandates than actually do anything worthwhile. We continue to wear masks because of the variants, which are not arising here in the US. The variants are coming from immunocompromised individuals overseas. You want to blame the unvaccinated here in the US, but that is ridiculous and misplaced blame. Do you work for, or own stock in Pfizer? |
That is an effective approach in MoCo. Hey, I want to drive a car, but can’t afford insurance. Come to MoCo. Hey, I want to own rental units but not keep them up to code. Come to MoCo. Hey, I want to live in the US and I don’t care what the law says. Come to MoCo. See a pattern? This is the political climate of the county, thanks to our beloved progressive leaders! |
Uh, we know exactly who falls into category C. It's the under 11 group. And that number will continue to get smaller until its basically limited to the under 5 group. and both of those cohorts are low risk. MoCo has done one thing right: mass vaccinations. And its time we start acting like. The people here should be strutting around like the people in Florida |

We need our masks.
These days vaccines don’t stop transmission and contraction. |
|
No. We all need to take care better care of our health and weight. Recent study pointing to Covid living in fat cells - take a hard look at who is hospitalized. Masks are fine but aren’t doing the job at this point. |
