I hate wearing masks. A store clerk was trying to tell me something, and I could not understand her, especially when they have an accent (not being racist.. my sister has an accent). I find if I can read lips and hear them speak, I can understand them better. Must be tough in classrooms.
Good thing there is a simple solution for when you can't hear folks because of the mask: ask them to speak more loudly and clearly. It is a far easier problem to solve than overrun hospitals unable to tend adequately to covid and non-covid patients or than people dying or being left disabled by Covid. I know I would rather the inconvenience of a mask than the inconvenience of having to find a hospital bed for a loved one facing a serious medical emergency.
If you’re vaccinated or have had covid prior and recovered, you won’t be overrunning any hospitals. You’re going to feel sick for a few days to a week, and then you’ll get over it. Assuming you get sick at all. FFS people
- A: The vaccinated are not overruning any hospitals. But we are still spreading the disease. - B: The unvaccinated still are overruning hospitals in many areas of the country. - C: Thirty percent of the country remains unvaccinated, but we have no way of easily identifying who is and who isn't vaccinated. - Therefore, we must all continue to wear masks because of the selfish 30 percent of Americans who stubbornly refuse to get vaccinated.
Nope. Such misinformation. We continue to wear masks because the political leaders in MoCo are complete hypocrites and would rather push useless mask mandates than actually do anything worthwhile. We continue to wear masks because of the variants, which are not arising here in the US. The variants are coming from immunocompromised individuals overseas. You want to blame the unvaccinated here in the US, but that is ridiculous and misplaced blame. Do you work for, or own stock in Pfizer?
