What frustrates me is DC and VA have no mask mandates and there is no real significant difference in results. The virus doesn't stop on one side of the river...

And MOCo has a higher vax rate, I believe (although that may have changed).

It makes no sense.

Sometimes the real world is frustrating. It's a shame that a dangerous disease is cramping everyone's style. I mean that. It's a shame, but not the biggest shame under these extreme circumstances.

Put on a good mask and be grateful cooler heads than yours are trying to keep your family safe from the long-term disability that long covid seems to cause.

Wearing a mask some of the time while in a restaurant is still better than wearing a mask none of the time while in a restaurant, no?

Ignore his comments. Just wear a mask into whatever retail store you enter. I have been since last year, and will continue to do so for a while. At this stage, it is not even annoying. It just hangs in my car, and another by front door. As for restaurants, I got vaccinated and boostered, and have a photo of my card on my phone. If someone wants to see it, fine. It is not exactly like I do not carry my phone everywhere anyway. Folks need to learn to relax and just do it. What I have clearly leaned is that there are lots of people that I will want to avoid when a real emergency happens. Many folks can handle even these simple things.

Ok selfish. Its easy for you to say relax when some of us don't want to get covid, be sick and possibly die. This is a real emergency.

As a PP stated, it's moving the goal posts, and it is super annoying.

Covid will never go away. At some point, we have to stop being ruled by fear, and just get on with it.

I hate wearing masks. A store clerk was trying to tell me something, and I could not understand her, especially when they have an accent (not being racist.. my sister has an accent). I find if I can read lips and hear them speak, I can understand them better. Must be tough in classrooms.

If you don't have fear of covid, you need to get your mental health checked.

Everyone hates wearing masks but if you give covid to that store clerk, she could get very sick or die and then you will help entitled people like you who have to be out shopping and dining in restaurants?

How does the mask mandate affect you, personally?

The rest of the country has moved on. Masking is a waste of public willpower. Put the time, money and energy into vax.

The studies show that vaccination, not masks, reduce the spread of covid. I thought Elrich said last week that like 95% of eligible 12 and up were vaccinated. Our rates are low. Our hospitals are open. Why are we living with so much restriction?
