If restaurants are open, people are taking their masks off at the table (or bar). If people are talking their masks off at the bar, there is no mask mandate. If there is no mask mandate, I don’t bother with one running in for a quick grocery run. So far, no one has said anything about it to me.
If people don't have to be licensed drivers to walk in a parking lot, there is no requirement for driver's licenses. If there is no requirement for driver's licenses, I won't bother to renew mine.
DP. That’s a hilarious way to attempt a bogus analogy. That’s kind of how it works now in Montgomery County. Don’t kid yourself. MoCo doesn’t enforce many laws - from driver laws to immigration laws to zoning laws. Do you have any idea how many people are driving around without insurance? My neighbor’s car was hit by an uninsured driver and there was nothing she could do. Do you realize how many illegal rentals there are in the county? And people driving around without a license? I mean, if the county wants to pass random laws and then let people ignore them, I guess that’s where we’re at now.
Then you should just say, "I don't wear a mask because I don't wanna and nobody's gonna make me."
That is an effective approach in MoCo. Hey, I want to drive a car, but can’t afford insurance. Come to MoCo. Hey, I want to own rental units but not keep them up to code. Come to MoCo. Hey, I want to live in the US and I don’t care what the law says. Come to MoCo. See a pattern? This is the political climate of the county, thanks to our beloved progressive leaders!
