85% vaccine rate isn’t good enough

I’m in Virginia so I don’t have to! Seriously stop spamming this thread with your nonsensical replies, one after the other. Your posting style is incredibly obvious and also obnoxious. 5 posts in a row right after midnight on a Saturday? Weird.

So why are you posting on this thread about Montgomery County, Maryland?

It’s not like MD is halfway across the country! People in this area spend time in all 3 jurisdictions. I can’t believe someone has to explain that to you.

Evidently this Virginia PP doesn't, though. And yet is posting on a thread about Montgomery County, to complain about other people spamming the thread...

Why do you think I don’t? Crazy.

Even the council knows that the very minor benefit of masks (maybe 10 percent) isn’t worth the hassle for the vaccinated and healthy.

You're upset because county council members didn't wear masks while eating? Or maybe you think the county council should shut down the restaurants? Or maybe you think that, if the county doesn't require everyone to wear a mask always everywhere, they shouldn't require anyone to wear a mask ever anywhere?

+1 The benefit is if people where a *proper* mask and wear it properly.

I see gators, masks under the noise, taken off to speak. And do you think the virus stops itself from spreading when you take off the mask to eat in a restaurant/bar/cafeteria? People breathe talk, laugh, cough, sneeze while eating. If it was done properly, IMO, the case rate would be lower. But people aren't masking properly. So, it's just political theater and a joke.

And even wearing a "proper" mask correctly, the benefit is very small.

It's not small.

Because you said you don't have to wear a mask. But if you spent time in Montgomery County, then you would have to wear a mask - unless you spent all of your time in Montgomery County either outside or in private residences.

Wow, technically correct, the best kind of correct! I bet you’re super fun at parties. You and “5 posts in a row at 12:30 am, I have tons of friends though really” should hang out sometime. 6 feet apart, outdoors, and in masks though.

Of course I wear a mask in MoCo. I mean, I usually do in Arlington and Fairfax too, and DC. I just don’t HAVE TO. If I forget it at home or leave it in the car or just run into Target to grab milk, it’s no big deal.

LOL

What is CFM?

Wish our kids could take their masks off when they wanted to, like the adults in that picture.

I don’t see anything wrong with that picture. Here’s the Bethesda beat picture that I referenced above. https://bethesdamagazine.com/bethesda-beat/politics/gubernatorial-candidates-seek-to-distinguish-themselves-at-montgomery-power-breakfast/ nobody is eating or drinking here. But it just proves that the indoor mask mandate for this is a farce.

Not the youngest (or slimmest) bunch either! The council is laughing at people who still wear masks and think it means anything.

I don’t think I’ll be able to explain my feelings but I care about the broken promises, being misled and a feeling of never ending Covid regulations. They keep dangling the carrot in front of residence. Get your vaccines, get your children vaccinated, get your seniors vaccinated, get your businesses vaccinated, and we do and then they say just kidding. Now we’re going to do something else. That’s what I care about. I think many of us witnessed that if the mask mandate is lifted many people will continue to wear the masks, which is great! Give the people the freedom at this point to choose. We thought most people chose to continue to wear a mask. I’m just sick of the endless hoops.

I am sick and tired of whiny losers like YOU. This is a pandemic. The goal posts move because we keep learning more. And because the general populace are too whiny and selfish to have just sucked it up and do what needs to be done to protect the community.

Do you have a home. Are your kids in school? Do you have a job? Do you have food to eat and clean water to drink? Yes? Then put on your g-dang mask and stop your incessant whining.

Human f-ing beings.

Your kids are in school ALL DAY! That breakfast was for a short time.

The goal posts aren't moving because we're learning more. The goals are simply changing. Don't you remember two weeks to flatten the curve? The pandemic has, in many ways, been less severe than expected. It has, however, been much longer, partly because we've been dragging it out.

Me neither except I don’t wear a mask because I am vaccinated.

God, you are SO desperate. I did indeed reply to multiple posts in a row, as that’s when I had downtime to read a thread on a topic of relevance to me.

Not everyone in the world is a 9-5, M-F wage slave. Many people work and live at all different hours seven days a week, even — gasp! — after midnight.

Thanks for the laughs.

If restaurants are open, people are taking their masks off at the table (or bar).

If people are talking their masks off at the bar, there is no mask mandate.

If there is no mask mandate, I don’t bother with one running in for a quick grocery run. So far, no one has said anything about it to me.

Following up to add I’m vaccinated with a booster and have stellar health.
