The attorney who insinuating that this middle school aged kid "consented" to this is not dong his client any favors. In fact, I think that it is only infuriating people.

What should his attorney do instead? Say "Yes, he's guilty! Put him away for life!"

That would be a rather incompetent defense attorney then.

Then perhaps if this lawyer had some real brains, he'd stop talking with all the media. But he just can't resist the spotlight. Poor guy!

He is my hero. I will recommend him to everyone I know! Great job, sir! If it was not for the media I would have not known who he is. So, that's a very smart move.

Why is Jezic your hero?

While we are at it, why exactly are you so pro-ILLEGAL immigration? I'm an immigrant, so I am supportive of LEGAL immigration, but I am not sympathetic towards ILLEGAL immigration.

Do you own a business that thrives on hiring illegal immigrants? You must have some angle here that leads you to support this rapist.

Agree. Shame on CNN. Do they even care about children?

First CNN has reported the story as has the Washington post etc. they are not making it into a cause Celebre as fox is. I don't need breathless comments about what tucker Carlson is saying etc.
Second and more importantly please take partisan comments to the political forum. It is becoming increasingly clear that this thread is being hijacked by people who might not even have kids in MCPS and are using the crime to score points about immigration and about mainstream media

+ 1. I would really like a show of hands to see how many of the posters here even live in Montgomery County. I think most posts are coming from people from out of the area with a political agenda.

I've made a few posts in this thread, have lived in MoCo for close to 50 years. Next!!

27 years here with 3 kids in MCPSNOW schools currently. I have posted here too. Really wish Montgomery County would make some changes. Think CNN and MCPS both tried to sweep it under the rug. Disgusted.

The thing is that uneducated trolls from outside of Montgomery County do not know every thing that a MoCo public school parent would know. Like the name of the school district.

You are pathetic. Probably also a Trumpian idiot.

Have kids zoned for Rockville HS.

Another MCPS parent here, three kids, in a cluster with METS. Moved here intentionally and love it, love the diversity, but ready for some big change when it comes to the amount of resources spent on newly arrived 18 year old illegal immigrants. This is not sustainable and it's got to change. Sad it took such a tragedy to bring everything to the forefront.

Wrong. 100 percent local and responding from Montgomery County. If you were a local you would know I was on my phone and the autocorrect replaced withMCPSNOW -- we had snow recently and local MCPS peeps all know about the MCPSNOW pencil predictions for school being cancelled. Take that. Don't call me troll.

I bet you don't live in Montgomery Co. Or you don't have kids in MCPS. You seem to have no skin in the game...

If you actually lived here, you would know there is an MCPSNOW.

Your name calling makes you more pathetic than you can imagine. But please continue on - it lets other readers realize how silly your posts obviously are.

What's the maximum punishment scar face and his rapist friend are looking at? One assumes they'll both be tried as adults--because one clearly is, but the 17 year old maybe not?

Yup. When I first read MCPSNOW I thought ""pencil predictions!"

But let All Knowing PP keep throwing down the insults. Pure entertainment.

He is my hero because he is following the law of the country and doing what he is supposed to do as a lawyer and making sure that everyone gets a fair trial.

I am not a hotel or golf course owner, so no I do not thrive by hiring illegal immigrants. In fact, I am not a business owner who gets his products manufactured in China.

I do not support rapists of any religion. I want him to face the law of this land. I want people to know the truth. I want Jezic to give him the best defense possible so that if he is innocent of the rape he should go free and if he is guilty then he should pay for his crimes. Simple as that.

I am not sympathetic towards any sexual predator who has got away after assaulting women or children. Too many people think they can just have access to any woman's vagina. Not interested in defending that mindset.

I am against rape, but it seems you are so not interested in the welfare of the victim of the rape but more interested in immigrants.

And I do not believe that you are an immigrant unless you are using it in the sense that this country first belonged to the Native Americans and all of us are immigrants. In that sense the people of this continent are free to go where ever they want to because they were the original inhabitants, so that does not make the accused rapists immigrants.

In short, he's soulless scum.

Hoping karma bites his ass one day.....

Looking at the security angle: WTOP had a story today about a different girl who allegedly had been assaulted and beat up at Rockville HS before the rape (by a girl I think it said), but that the parents at the school hadn't been notified. Are the security problems at Rockville HS worse than MCPS wants people,to know?

Found it:

They are affirmatively trying to cover up security problems I think.

Yes. Our neighbors have kids at Rockville HS and several commented that they were not super surprised that something like this happened.
