Depends on the club, the Coach and the team. Some of these teams have favored players and if you are not part of the favored group, your time may be limited. Some club teams aren't all that good so some teams may provide little competition. Coaches run the gamut as well. |
For most sports, you have people who are fans and people who are indifferent. My husband loves football. I watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. I love tennis. My husband falls asleep even when watching Wimbledon. Lacrosse is different. You are either rabid about it, to the point of being obnoxious, indifferent, or hate it with a passion because of the elitism of the sport, or the lax bro persona. It's interesting. |

This forum is for discussion of private schools. There is already a sports forum as well, I'm sure, other forums devoted to lacrosse. This thread prevents others threads from getting attention.
DELETE THIS THREAD (or move it). |
See above for garden variety LPDS (Lacrosse Parent Derangement Syndrome). Characterized by the idea that all that is needed to produce a great lacrosse player is parental desire for it to happen and scads of money. If there is a difference in playing time, it is always because of the coach playing favorite. Difference in skills? Poor coaching and player development. |
I don't really care about the outcome but you seem aggravated, so: 1. The moderators don't see your rando all-caps demands for removal of this thread. If you want to communicate with the moderators you need to use the "report" button on a prior post. 2. To save you some time, they don't remove threads because people find them annoying. If they devolve into ugliness/excessive divulging of personal details about identifiable individuals, they will lock/remove threads. 3. This battle -- move the lax thread to a sports forum -- was already fought and the moderators moved the thread back to the private school forum. So, to use a legal term, "res judicata." To use an ordinary phrase, the train has left the station. 4. The idea that the thread "prevents other threads from getting attention" is silly -- there are something like 20 threads on the first page of this forum, so plenty of display space on the digital shelf. 5. It's a simple solution but . . . just don't read this particular thread. If you feel you need to read because you think there are specifically harmful posts on it, keep reading and report those specific posts. |
Awesome post. I especially like #4. For some reason the first poster remains immune to the logic of Numbers 1, 2, 3 and 5 because they have been pointed out numerous times. There is just no pleasing or reasoning with some people. In an event, thanks for another valiant effort! |

Ok, now you sound unhinged. |

This is a good suggestion. What I think that the referenced poster is doing, though, is posting some weird lax related question posts on the Sports thread. Apparently the dots just aren't connecting for him or her. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. |
Her fake posts on the Sports Forum are so obvious and laugh out loud ridiculous. Her state of mind, however, is no laughing matter. Get yee to a therapist, or some good weed. |

The funny and rather ironic thing about the idiotic poster who keeps requesting this thread be deleted in all caps is that every time she/he posts the thread goes back up to the top - some people can be so dumb.
If you don't like this thread ignore it and if you think it takes up to much time/room on the board (asinine thought), certainly don't keep posting nonsensical things to bump it back up to the top. Duh! |
| Maret has finally hired a real lacrosse coach for their varsity girls' team - Ali Curwin. She is supposed to be really good. |
| Congrats to Maret--- they have good teams despite being a relatively small school. |
