Girl Raped at Rockville HS

Anonymous
And many of you don't understand why some of us favor a system where a student wanting to enroll in a MCPS school has to prove that he is here legally.

Unfortunately in some of these third world countries rape of girls is a trivial event and there is little or no investigation. They are supposedly recently arrived illegals. No wonder they stayed in the school building. They assumed that no one would care or come looking for them.

I was wondering this. The attackers raped the girl and just stayed at school, went on with their day. Isn't it possible that this has happened before, but the victims have not come forward?

What DID happen is that two MEN, who did not LEGALLY belong in this country were allowed to have close contact with a minor by MCPS. WTF, a ninth grader who is 18.

+1

What is MCPS policy about this? They just allow anyone to enroll in HS? How does this work?

Yes, we are a sanctuary city and if they have proof of residence and are 21 or younger, they can be enrolled in about 1-2 days. No background checks either.

Ask Gaithersburg High School about the 18yr old FRESHMAN refugee arrested on campus for murdering a 22yr old man in Montgomery Village. Just another MS-13 killing. No big deal. We love illegal immigrants and refugees.

I am baffled by the earlier argument about whether the sex was consensual. Tragically, it seems like this was a violent act where the girl was not willing.

However, even if circumstances were different and she had consented, wouldn't a 14 year old having sex with a 17 or 18 year old be statutory rape? Has a 14 year old reached the age of consent in Maryland?

I grew up in another part of the country where both parties had to either be 16 or within two years of each other. I thought that was fairly standard. Is that not the case here?

Nothing is going to change at MCPS until we stand up and voice our concerns. The rape of a child by grown men should be enough of a spark a movement.

The problem is, and I am no lover of Trump, is that you get corralled in with those nutty Trump Ian's.

Although a few may help support the bell curve. If you have too many resources are drained and too many disruptions occur and the school ability to educate is reduced. Society regresses to a lower common denominator.

Wow! All this talk on these boards about how amazing MCPS schools are and here your 14 year olds are sitting in class with 19 year old freshmen. Nice note from the school too which is sure to piss the family off enough to file suit. Is Montgomery County going to refuse to help immigration authorities deport these criminals?

A 14 year old can consent as long is the partner is not _more_ than 4 years older. So a 14 year old and 18 year old would not be statutory rape, if both parties consented.

Here is the policy:
Children age 5 by September 1, 2016, and not age 21 on the first day of school are eligible for enrollment in MCPS for the 2016-17 school year.

Do they place these 20 and 21 year old students in high school alongside 14 year olds?

I used to be a high school teacher in another state. Typically there is a point when a student becomes too old to be retained in a grade and would be referred to an alternative program of some sort. At 18 in 9th grade, this person would exceed the legal age of school attendance before they could to 12th grade. So it really makes no sense for them not to be in an alternative school. Makes me question what is going on a RHS, which is the school we're zoned for. Thankfully DC is still in ES.

We are also zoned for RHS. What were the kids doing in school all day anyway? He didn't speak Wnglish, so was he actually taking/attending classes?

Yes, in our country you don't need to speak the native language of our schools. You just start and we eventually teach the language for free with ESOL on taxpayers dime. Look at the increase in the ESOL teachers in MCPS in just the last 10 years. That same number also jumps in FARMS. We feed illegal aliens for free too. I can't even begin to imagine how much it costs, but who cares? They just ask for more money or increase the teacher/student ratio. Oh and they increase property taxes by 9% too. Who cares, right? Let's just blame Hogan for not giving us all the money we want.

In America, non-English speaking kids get a free 2nd language paid for by us - starting in K all the way to 12th if needed.

Legal US citizen kids? They don't start learning a 2nd language until 7th grade.

Most other countries, you need to learn the language of the school you are attending on your own. It is called assimilation and immersion. You don't walk into a school in Germany and they pull you out for free German lessons. They don't have English interpreters. But their own kids? They learn a 2nd language starting in elementary.

The irony of America is mind-boggling.

Why do you think the criminals are here? They know where the sanctuaries are. They aren't walking in Mobile, Alabama or Salt Lake City, Utah pulling this shit.

MoCo is NOT a sanctuary jurisdiction: http://www.bethesdamagazine.com/Bethesda-Beat/2017/Montgomery-County-Not-Likely-Impacted-by-Trumps-Sanctuary-City-Executive-Order/

To MCPS defense, it is a federal law that any child, illegal or not, can go to public school. There is nothing they can do about that. The problem lies in the fact that Montgomery County welcomes illegals, is a sanctuary county and were dumb enough to pass the Dream Act a few years back. We are the number 2 county in the county with illegal immigration, with only LA County beating us out. The corrupt Casa De Maryland helps with all of this.

The wall won't help, deporting won't help (they just come right back), treating every Hispanic that is legal like an alien won't help. All of those things are costly and wrong.

They need to change Amendment 14 and get rid of birthright citizenship
Allow eVerify for all school enrollments and employment.
Charge employees who hire illegal immigrants. Fines the first time. Jail the second time.

Lot of false in this, but let's start with one refuted two posts -- prove that MoCo is a sanctuary county.. ... It's not.

If there are other rape cases, as likely, this may bring them out.

I'm glad this girl was rave enough to come forward in this case. Hopefully if there are other victims of these two men, they will also come forward.

IMO, the speculation from the beginning of the thread - that it was consensual sex and that the girl was lying - is not helpful in getting other female students to come forward.
