W rapes are usually committed when stoned in mansions.

It's not about race. It's about 2 men who should not be in this country to start with. And due to our liberal rules, we allow grown men to be in a class with young women. It's pretty sick. If my 14 year old daughter told me there was a 19 year old in her class of any color I would do something about it. Rape is rape and this one would not have happened if the US did there job and stop coddling criminals.

Here is the policy:
Children age 5 by September 1, 2016, and not age 21 on the first day of school are eligible for enrollment in MCPS for the 2016-17 school year.

Do they place these 20 and 21 year old students in high school alongside 14 year olds?

I used to be a high school teacher in another state. Typically there is a point when a student becomes too old to be retained in a grade and would be referred to an alternative program of some sort. At 18 in 9th grade, this person would exceed the legal age of school attendance before they could to 12th grade. So it really makes no sense for them not to be in an alternative school. Makes me question what is going on a RHS, which is the school we're zoned for. Thankfully DC is still in ES.

I am extremely liberal and am completely against illegal immigration. Legal immigration needs to be fixed, the process made more transparent, faster, less cumbersome. Illegal immigrants coming here in droves and being allowed to stay sucks resources away from US citizens and lawful immigrants alike.

This MCPS policy is ludicrous, endangers children, and weakens the education system. There needs to be some special classes for 18-21 year olds to work towards learning English and getting their GEDs.

That letter from the principal was awful, too. Barely offered support to other kids at the school who may be scared, traumatized, friends of the victim, anything, let alone expressed a decent amount of outrage or addressed parents and students valid safety concerns. I don't live in MCPS, but I'd be absolutely outraged at the District and the school admin.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the victim that she can overcome this horror.

If the rapists ran off, how would they find the one with no address? H3 could easily create a new identity and start over.

Victim parents should sue school for putting the two over aged illegals into the school.

We are also zoned for RHS. What were the kids doing in school all day anyway? He didn't speak Wnglish, so was he actually taking/attending classes?

If there is any possibility of this happening? I would support it completely. I am not normally litigious, but the letter doesn't make it sound like the school is really prioritizing student safety here.

Go to school for free meals? Paid by taxpayers, of course.

I agree with everything you say here.

Did the teachers or other students not realize the rapists and victims weren't in class? Surely others would have seen them at school at some point in the morning and realize they just weren't out sick. Wasn't anyone curious where they were?

Are you in MCPS? My kids are only in ES but there have been times where one kid didn't go into school but I never got an email/robocall about their absence even though I had not sent in a note. (Long story as to why that happened, but I found it strange that nobody noted my kid's absence.). I imagine it's even less monitored in HS?

So which is it? Presumption of guilt or wait for facts?

The immigration status of the accused is relevant to the assault how, exactly?

Because if he/they were not here it wouldn't have happened. Add to the fact the MoCo is intensely invested in sanctuary status, people are rightly concerned that this rapist and accomplice will be set free. On grounds for racism/xenophobia/[name your special status here].

Well, obviously. Also if the girl hadn't been here. Or if there had been a snow day today. Or if the girl had been sick today. Or if somebody had been in the boys' bathroom. Or...

Immigration/citizenship status is not relevant to rape.

This is an ignorant statement. You are blinded by your political correctness. The last time I checked we were were a nation of laws. This violation of law has repercussions as we are now seeing.

So if you're raped by an unauthorized immigrant, it's different from if you're raped by an authorized immigrant, a tourist, a green card holder, a naturalized citizen, or a US-born citizen?

Yes, because many illegal immigrants just get deported, come back and do it again.

You want to be a sanctuary county, welcome illegal aliens, and refuse to cooperate with federal laws? This is what you get

Ex criminal lawyer here. There may be other victims at this school. MCPS will tread very lightly here to prevent lawsuits and to not offend the hispanic community. The victim is the last concern to them.
