Odd Mom Out - My new obsession!

I turned it on half way through and though it was ok until the mom and her daughter started dancing and singing with the doorman ala Broadway musical. Too cutsie for me.

And Brooke -

Hilarious!!

and the Brooklyn-ites were perfectly accurate!

I thought so too! My husband even watched it with me and we were rolling. What was the boy's name - something like Archibald?

Something like Aristotle?

I know the show is slapstick but Jill was such an a-hole in this episode that I wanted to smack her - she wasn't cute or charming, she was a rude, narcissistic a-hole. And I've enjoyed the show up to this point. Is she trying to be Larry David-esque?

That would require talent.

Its insulting that Jill is supposed to be the relatable "every mom" character. Shes a rude, inconsiderate, self absorbed asshole. I thought that was what the "mean" UES moms were supposed to be?

Seriously who behaves like this woman and is able to function in society?

You do know this is just a sitcom, right? And her behavior is supposed to be over-the-top and exaggerated?

Of course I do, a poorly executed one at that. As I said, she is not relatable or an "every mom" character. She is the horrible one in the mix, when the other moms are supposed to be the "villains". She's like a clown in an otherwise decent comedy. As a pp said, maybe its that she doesn't possess the talent to pull the roll off. I don't know.

Here is your eyeroll back.

Did you even see the latest episodes? With the Brooklyn-ite moms? That was hilarious. And she is a bit like the clown in the mix, which I find funny.

I guess it's one of those shows that people either love or hate, and I'm rapidly starting to love it. Here's a happy face for you:

At least the happy face doesn't have scary teeth.

Its a new Bravo show which premiered last night. Hilarious!

Enjoy it while it lasts, heard the ratings were really bad. I watched it twice, she is too annoying, it is so phony and poorly acted. I give it one season. As someone who lived on the upper east side in NY for 6 years, I can tell you that its a jungle but that its not THAT bad.

The episode with the Brooklyn moms however was spot on.

This scene cracked me up. Totally unexpected and reminded me of a Muppet Movie musical scene. Wacky and I loved it!

I think it's hilarious. No one on that show is immune from mockery - not the UES moms, or the Brooklyn-ites, and especially not the main character. It's an exaggeration of all these "types".

Ratings are still bad though. Maybe it'll get a second season since bravo only has two scripted series. I wish I could like this and I've tried, but it's off my dvr. It's getting stupider/lamer by the episode.

I've really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next episode.

This is one of those perfect shows to binge on while BF at all hours of the night- its just light and fluff so it doesn't matter if you doze off for plot points.

True - very fun and not serious. My DVR had two episodes recorded and I was all excited to crawl into bed last night and watch them - only to discover they were repeat episodes. So disappointing! I eagerly await the next new episodes.

So glad someone else besides me finds this show hilarious and entertaining!

Really? No one would have guessed that.
