Odd Mom Out - My new obsession!

I kind of agree about the hair, but I like the fact that she doesn't have super white, straight teeth. It's refreshing to look at a face that isn't "perfect". Also, I love her zaniness (sp?).

Because she's REAl, unlike all those other fake UES moms.

And Brooke -
"A tumor with hair is coming out of my asshole!!"

Hilarious!!

and the Brooklyn-ites were perfectly accurate!

I know the show is slapstick but Jill was such an a-hole in this episode that I wanted to smack her - she wasn't cute or charming, she was a rude, narcissistic a-hole. And I've enjoyed the show up to this point. Is she trying to be Larry David-esque?

That would require talent.

Its insulting that Jill is supposed to be the relatable "every mom" character. Shes a rude, inconsiderate, self absorbed asshole. I thought that was what the "mean" UES moms were supposed to be?

Seriously who behaves like this woman and is able to function in society?

I thought so too! My husband even watched it with me and we were rolling. What was the boy's name - something like Archibald?

I didn't think she was an asshole at all - I thought she was hilarious and clueless as ever. First she thought she had found "her people," but oh how wrong she was!

You do know this is just a sitcom, right? And her behavior is supposed to be over-the-top and exaggerated?

Of course I do, a poorly executed one at that. As I said, she is not relatable or an "every mom" character. She is the horrible one in the mix, when the other moms are supposed to be the "villains". She's like a clown in an otherwise decent comedy. As a pp said, maybe its that she doesn't possess the talent to pull the roll off. I don't know.

Here is your eyeroll back.

Did you even see the latest episodes? With the Brooklyn-ite moms? That was hilarious. And she is a bit like the clown in the mix, which I find funny.

I guess it's one of those shows that people either love or hate, and I'm rapidly starting to love it. Here's a happy face for you:

Careful PP, if you like the show you will be accused of being a Bravo employee, planted on DCUM in an attempt to push a show that absolutely no on in their right mind would dare to like!

So true! Well, I like this show and know a lot of other people who do as well. And I don't work for Bravo.

This show is pretty meh. I agree that the lead is a terrible actress and I don't really care for her character either. She is pretty inconsiderate of those around her, including her DH.
