Love Abby Elliot too but I'm getting seriously tired of Vanessa. Something about her annoys the hell out of me. But my favorite is Jill. She reminds me of my roommate from college - zany, fun, irreverent. I love her!

I like zany and fun in college too, but at some point you have to start functioning as an adult.

Which she does - in a zany and fun way!

My forehead looks VERY much like this and I have never had anything injected into my face....and I'm 49!

Sure, okay. I'm sure some dumbass will believe that.

46 here and I have the same type of forehead. Amazing what years of sunscreen can do for you. Might want to try it!

Me too. Plus a lot of botox. I know it when I see it.

+1
When you scrunch your face up and your forehead doesn't move it ain't sunscreen.

Its pretty ridiculous to think a 40 year old (she looks way older btw) in "hollywood" wouldn't have any botox.

The actress who plays Vanessa looks natural - her forehead actually moves.

Why is the physical appearance of the actress who plays Jill so upsetting to people? Who cares if she isn't traditionally beautiful, or you don't find her attractive?

From what I understand, she writes and produces the show, which is based on a book that she wrote. She's quite talented, and I find her fun to watch. I don't need to her to look like a model to enjoy the show, FFS.

Same here. I'm tired of seeing all the fake blondes and people with chicklet teeth, even on so-called reality shows. I like that the lead character looks like someone I may see at the store.

But dont you realize? Having an exceptionally unattractive, makes the viewers feel better about themselves? It doesnt matter if she has botox oozing out of her ears, at least she's an uggo, makes everyone feel good!

What a few posters in this thread fail to realize and dare I saw get upset over is that this is an open forum and people are going to snark on this show. Read any thread in entertainment it isn't all glowing reviews.

Some of the defenders of this show are overly sensitive and take it deadly serious if someone says "The show is unfunny and she's fugly" but that is pretty par for the course when talking about a show on the internet outside of a fansite.

I know. It really confirms prior PP's assertions that this show attracts a rather unfunny, hypersensitive, unintelligent crowd.

Well the character of Jill is hyper sensitive and takes everything on a personal level so...

And she thinks everything is about her, and then in the show it always turns out that it all IS about her.

Completely agree. I think she's very appealing, and how she looks is part of it. She's funny but also attractive, in an off-beat way. I'd like to hang with her.

Sure - but as you say, this is an open forum, so we're going to express our opinions as well (not the PP, BTW). It's just funny how those of you who hate the show keep popping back up on this thread. When I hate a show, I usually avoid threads about it.
