Their view is that it's "moochers" and want that money that pays for the social safety net for themselves. Little do they realize it would just go to billionaires. Dems on the other hand get a whole lot wrong but at least they understand that we can't just have families sick, starving and dying in an alley.

What are you smoking? And where can I get some?? The Reps are foaming at the mouth anticipating violent protests. They were annoyed that all the No Kings protests were peaceful, during the day, and attended by grandparents and young families, so they didn’t get to send out the military and armed police against the citizens. If the situation deteriorated to the point you described (curfews, politicians being attacked on the streets, no travel etc.) Trump and the admin would collectively pee their pants with excitement because that is what they want and what they need to take away our last remaining Constitutional rights and install a repressive police state. Trump is absolutely not resigning over a government shut down, even a long one lasting months, because he and the Republicans do not care and aren’t playing by any kind of established “rules” or “norms.”
