Based on the warped view of men on this forum it's hard to imagine what makes a guy "right."

What kind of moron makes the decision to have a kid / another kid based on a $5K incentive and some medal? $5K is barely 2 months of daycare. Good luck with that.

"Exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) may reduce fertility in women by as much as 40%, "

"On Tuesday, the Trump Environmental Protection Agency withdrew a pending Biden administration plan that would have protected public health from the chemical manufacturing sector by setting discharge limits on the toxic “forever chemicals” known as PFAS."

MAHA! Making America Infertile while distracting with random, useless policies that do not actually help.

You want more women to have kids? Here's a great way to ensure it happens: universal healthcare and universal childcare.

My sister quit her job because most of her paycheck was going to daycare fees. They thought it'd ease up as the kids got older, but nope. Afterschool care, summer care, summer camps/programs, etc. Then having to pay someone to transport them to the various programs if they weren't attached to the school.

I'll be honest, I think she's miserable. I think she hates being a fulltime SAHM. I don't know if that's something you can ask, so I don't. I don't have or want kids, so it feels like one of those stay in my lane situations. I hypothesize that the reason why there's such a mommy wine culture is because they're mostly miserable being at home fulltime. But again, no kids, so not my lane, so I'd never voice that opinion/hypothesis out loud IRL.

Accurate.

And I also assume we're not talking about expanding benefits for existing babies or anything like that?

No, no. None of that.

Fulbright Scholars need support. Poor kids don’t.

exactly who gets harmed with lower birthrates?

our nation is already overwhelmed with too many people.

please explain the problem with a lower birthrate?

I’m not going to explain this to you.

Baby bonuses could work if they were large enough to be actually worthwhile. Who the hell is one single $5k payment compensating for the lifetime of lost and depressed wages that children cost women? Talk less of the cost of raising children.

It's like paying someone $10 to move to the wilderness for good and build their own house by hand. Oh, great deal! I'll be right there!

The government intruding on the birth rate in any serious capacity will wind up backfiring and the social effects won’t be seen for years.

Yes, this is a very bad idea to encourage irresponsible unemployed people to have kids over $5,000. The tax credit should be non-refundable and capped at 50% of your federal tax liability. It should start at $2,500 per year and double for each child up the 4th kid. This tax benefit would cap out at 37.5k per year and encourage upper middle income households to have kids.

Of course not. You have no valid reason other than more growth. More growth
