Trump Baby Bonus

A 5k bonus is laughably small.

50k? 100k? Good healthcare guaranteed until they turn 18? Affordable/free daycare? Housing subsidies so we can afford a place that fits the whole family? These things might make a difference.

Wow! Just wow!

PP here. Yea, I said it. Having kids crashed my career and not one of you baby-obsessed birthers has shown up to help with the bills. GTFO. I tell as many young women as I can about the pitfalls of motherhood.

I’m honestly worried about your mental health and concerned about the wellbeing of your children. I hope you have access to mental health professionals.

I hope you have access to a tall glass of Gaslighting Scrote Can Kiss My @$$. You're not going to shame me out of telling the plain truth. Do you want to know a major reason birth rates are going down? Because concern-trolling pricks like you expect women to take the nonstop hits that motherhood in a misogynistic society consists of and then keep silent about it.

I’m neither gaslighting, nor joking. I’m truly worried. Please get some help before something terrible happens.

Too late. At least two terrible things have already happened -- you were born and allowed access to a computer.

Please don’t harm yourself or your children.

It’s a vibe thing. Straight young families from outside the blue cities are mostly Republicans, and they are making babies.

I went to the white house easter egg roll under trump and biden. Night and day difference. Last year was about body positivity, gender fluidity, etc. This year was about adorable healthy families with lots of kids. Not just kids, also infants, also pregnant women, etc. republicans are definitely outbreeding us. Thant’s why we need migrants.

Since when do children ‘owe’ their parents grandchildren?

They don’t. Most normal ones want to have a family. I’m thankful for my grandchildren.

Unless you had six kids and each of your kids did the same, you don’t count either under the new incentive. So no need to be smug. Best reproduce like a rabbit in your next life.

No one in my family needs a bonus. The grandkids are already born anyway. Our very normal and happily married children make good money and wanted a family. I think it’s wonderful and I cherish every moment spent spoiling my grandkids.

They clearly aren’t making that many else this wouldn’t be a thing. The challenges of parenthood and especially motherhood aren’t divided by Republican or Democrat l, despite how much people try to make it so.

Notice there are a lot more men in Congress spending time away from their families.

Outside of a few dcurbanmom-type blue enclaves, married parents tend to be Republicans and single moms tend to be Democrats.

I will defend PP. I stayed home with my kids because I couldn’t get a daycare spot. When my youngest started preschool, I went back to work. Well I interviewed for a year and a half. When I got a job offer it was for less money than I was making when I left the workforce 7 years earlier. It has been a constant battle to get higher paying jobs. After 11 years, I still make less than I would if I never left and I’m about 2 levels down from where I should be. Yes, there are costs to staying home with kids. I still love my kids but lying to women about the hit to career isn’t going to make things better. Your patronizing post just ignores the systemic problem and shames PP for speaking truth. As someone who has lived it, STFU!
