Trump Baby Bonus

Anonymous
If you want a higher birth rate, baby bonuses don’t work. They need to address the housing problem, the economic uncertainty, and the unavailability of daycare/expense of daycare. Men also need to modernize their approach to marriage and family. (Gift article)

Everything you suggest if obvious to any mother.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that if you mandate that federal workers return to the office (leading many companies to follow suit) it's not going to encourage people to have more babies.

And left unsaid in the article: If we can't keep the birth rate high enough, the only alternative to maintain our population is immigration.

These are some of the more "interesting" proposals being considered to boost fertility in the US that are mentioned in the article:

*Reserving 30% of Fulbright scholarships for married applicants or those with children. [I thought the current admin was eliminating the Fullbright program?]

*Providing a $5,000 “baby bonus” for new mothers. [But how are they going to ensure that it motivates the "right" kind of women to have more babies?]

*Funding programs to teach women about their menstrual cycles and fertility awareness. [I'm all for women knowing more about their bodies, but conservatives have been attacking sex ed programs for decades].

*National Medal of Motherhood for women with 6+ children. [Gives Soviet Union vibes.]

Um they could also consider reducing environmental PFA chemicals, including from our drinking water, but they are doing the opposite. MAHA!

If you capriciously fire tens of thousands of federal workers then I’m going to venture out on another limb and say they’re not immediately jumping into the sack sans birth control.

I'd love to know what counts as a child for this award. Does it have to be born alive? Do 6 week miscarriages count?

Federal workers aren't the demographic they want to reproduce.

Their plan is to impoverish most of us, so Peter Thiel and friends can have it all. Their cult leader, Curtis Yarvin, suggested that poor people be turned into biofuel.

You have good points, but they have no interest in doing anything you suggest. They do not want to be helpful.

These ideas will cause no one to change their minds and have a baby. These are the dumb ideas of men, who know exactly zero about motherhood.

We all do. We don't have enough people to keep our economy going. We are going to end up like Japan, who's economy is suffering b/c they don't want immigration and their population has significantly aged.

If it's anything like the Great Stork Derby, it would have to be born alive in order to count.

The world is overpopulated AND nations are harmed by lower birth rates. It is very complicated, which of course means Trump already stopped listening. A quick question on ChatGPT can answer your questions.
