I had conservative strict parents and somehow I made it to so many parties like this where kids were drinking, dancing, doing what teens do. I am so confused by the suggestion that her parents are these negligent freaks. Teens party. It’s kind of a universal, normal thing. She wasn’t a 13-year-old. She is two years away from living fully independently. In many countries around the world, kids at 16 are out working jobs, earning money, close to full independence.

Is this an affluent area? I see a lot of million dollar homes but the kids in the Daily Mail pictures look low class and poor - and not in the stylish rich kid way. And the whole not talking to police thing is very sketchy.

We partied in the neighborhood at our friends houses. And we all had curfews. And frankly not that much access to alcohol.
