I have two teens and I know where they are, even if I am uncomfortable of giving them freedom to leave the house. Also, if you are going to be free range parents then embed a microchip in them.

Sex traffickers? Hmm. That’s a stretch. I would assume something happened with a boy/older guy, possibly someone she knows or goes to school with it met online. Maybe she took drugs or was drugged.

No we do not hear about EVERY missing person of color. We dont even hear about every missing white person. But we are probably most likely to hear about a missing wealthy person,who is also white and pretty.

None of this changes the horror of ANY missing female and what likely happens to them. Its just awful.

Maybe I don’t know enough about the geography of that area or cell phone tracking but if she left in her car isn’t a high probability a car wreck in some area that hasn’t been found? Or is there something about the cell phone that suggests intention?

SO many parents are like that now. My H is one of them. The philosophy is “they’re going to do it anyway, I want them to feel comfortable telling me in case something happens”.

Well, something did happen and mom knowing about the party didn’t do sh!t to save her. Your kids don’t need a friend, they need a PARENT.

If you parent like you're supposed to do and build a solid and firm but loving relationship from the time they're little, you very likely won't have these kinds of problems.

He’s not wrong. At least this mom knows where her daughter was and around what time she disappeared. She wouldn’t if the girl snuck out.

Wrong thinking on your part. Kids DO need a parent, not just a lenient friend hoping they won't sneak out.
