So OP you want to drive, right?
And he wants Metro and lives on Red Line. OP wants a place to park. If OP were Metroing it would've been trivial to ride Silver line 1 more stop. |
| Put in your OLD profile " must have parking nearby I only drive" |
not Foggy Bottom |
| OP he also may assume the restaurants on his side of the river are better. When we lived in dc, I hated trekking to VA suburbs for not great places |
|
Not a good sign on his part. Foggy bottom parking sucks, Arlington is just a bit easier and cheaper. He should of at least offered to cross the bridge he seem selfish.
buh- bye |
Op here. This is true! But I do want to drive and I was happy to drive to Arlington for a first meet. After that if we click I’d be okay going into the city for a nicer experience. But I was put off by his insistence to meet for the first time in DC on a rainy day. |
| Why are you bothering with this loser? |
| Your lives are too busy and you don't live close enough for both of your preferences. Next. |
| Maybe he’s “wanted” in VA. |
Girl. If you insist on driving you cannot date people in DC proper. Stick with fellow suburnians. |
Where in Arlington did you propose meeting? Insisting on planning the date around your refusal to take public transit is pretty selfish on your part. |
|
The distance is an issue - for both of you.
Find a man closer. Move on. |
You live in the objectively worse area Don’t date a city guy then. Stick to wrap around Oakley Virginia defense contractors |
|
I wouldn’t meet him based on his unwillingness to compromise.
I had a friend like him. She lived in DC , new guy she connected with online lived in Columbia. She expected him to drive to DC. I told her to compromise and meet in Silver Spring. She wouldn’t. They never met up. |
Plenty of parking on Dupont but agree the guy is not particular interested. Plenty of girls for him to date in DC thus he won't bother. Move on |
