but isn't this just another example of why, when you lose a war, you should surrender? |
| Does Hamas even still exist? |
Hamas has agreed to multiple peace deal starting back in February 2024. Israel has said no, out right reject multiple peace deals, killed the negotiators, killed hostages, invade other countries, starved civilians, murder women and children, bombing elementary schools, hospitals, etc. Israel wants to kill all the Palestinians because only some right wing Jews are considered people. The IDF has said there are no military objectives left in Gaza for over a year and 1/2. This is a genocide of Israelis choosing. During Oct7 Israel used tanks and artillery on Israeli civilians vs negotiate with under 100 fighters. Israel is evil. Try to stay informed about what is going on in Israel. |

Oh my goodness. It’s is not the same as WWII in any way. In WWII the victors were able to negotiate with well structured militaries with clear command structures.
Look at the photos coming out of Gaza. You think there is a clear command structure to negotiate with? It is clearly devolving into Haiti where you have roving gangs who shoot at incoming planes randomly compounded by starvation which has to only add to a pressure cooker situation. And Hamas was a few things but certainly not a well organized military or political party like Germany. Regardless: Hamas’ sticking point is that they want Israel not to push Palestinians out of Gaza. They readily admit to being willing to hand over the hostages. But it is Israel who will not agree to any reasonable terms. If Israel was sincere about peace they would help supposed a Palestinian opposition party. |
Germany and Japan weren't defending against a genocide. |
I think a peace deal is different than surrender? Surrender is when you admit that your country now belongs to the victor and they can do what they want. You throw yourself at the victor's mercy. I think if Hamas through themselves on the victor's mercy, other nations would put a lot of pressure on Israel to bring in tons of food. |
| Hamas doesn’t care if Palestinians die. The suffering of their people improves its position in the West. |
It took bombs dropped on Japan for them to surrender. Germany fought to the bitter end even though it meant destroying their country. Right now Israel are the aggressors who are systematically eliminating Palestinian citizens, children, women, the elderly with their bombs, guns, and denying them food and medicine causing the kind of suffering that everyone should fear. If they surrender tomorrow Israel will continue stealth elimination of Palestinians so that there won’t be enough Palestinians to sustain a country. That’s the goal of Israel and the extremist crowds are dreaming of the day when the last Palestinian has been shot to death. |
If Hamas has no one to rule over they have nowhere to go. It’s self sabotage. |
|
This is as stupid a question as:
Why don’t the Israelis oust Netanyahu and declare peace? |
You can’t answer for Hamas’ terrorism by deflecting to Israel. This is how this nightmare started. Each side points out the atrocities of the other. It is literally both sides suck! |
| You leftist cucks are morons. Palestinians are hamas. That is their chosen government. |
Maybe? But also lots of public statements that once Israel stops flighting Palestinians will be “invited” to leave and settlers will move in. That indicates to me the following choices: - continued starvation and hope the world community will finally exert enough influence to stop the cruelty Or - giving up their nation / home without any assurances of what will happen to the individually or as a people. This means putting their faith in the other side who has killed and starved them (there is no trust) |
| Hamas isn't Palestine. But if you're wondering why Palestinians don't just give up and throw themselves at the mercy of Isreal, it's because that's even worse than what's happening now |
this would be a good thing. But the question remains...will the hostages ever return and will Hamas be eradicated? We all know the answer to that don't we? it makes me want to vomit. |
