Predictions for tomorrow?

I'm off the beaten path and they've been by twice today already. And they had already cleared it last night. I'm west of Germantown.

They will open on time for Monday. Then it will get warm so doubt even with the potential for snow later in the week that we will have another closure.

If they close on Sunday, they'll definitely close for Monday too. Or at least 2hr delay

Which street? I have difficulty believing that.

I predict kids will be wearing winter jackets.

Is that a trick question? Or some kind of joke?

No, it was due to snow/ice. It is nonsensical, but MCPS needs 48+ hours to clear snow. 9 degree temperatures are fine. Wear a hat.

Huh? They're not expecting snow or rain on Sunday or Monday morning. Why would there be a delay?

Half the kids wear short sleeves in winter without a real jacket, and half of those were in shorts this weekend

I think a fairly large percentage of walkers will be in pants and winter jackets tomorrow.

Are you going to come back to explain this question? Tomorrow morning is going to be like this morning. Why would there be a delay?

Let me preface by saying I don't think any delay is remotely warranted BUT I have given up hope of any sense in MCPS. The standard they set - and that some parents here seem to think is reasonable - is insane; schools are delayed or closed at the threat of bad weather, or because there might be a shred of ice or snow on the ground, or because it's cold. Which is totally ridiculous. And I live near an ES where the sidewalks that surround the school property (e.g., not neighboring houses) remain unshoveled.

So I won't be surprised if there is a delay tomorrow. It would be stupid and totally unnecessary, but I've given up hope of MCPS doing the right thing.
