The fact that Israel's border surveillance systems failed so spectacularly is what is shocking. Hamas blew multiple holes through the border wall, disabled the early warning systems, and over-ran multiple entry check points and military outposts. Further, Israel had the border completely under-manned and staffed mostly by reserve soldiers (not the full-time professional soldiers).
Israel was caught completely flat-footed. It's almost incomprehensible. |
The GOP really didn’t get enough criticism for this. It’s one of their top d$ick moves and there’s a lot of competition for that. |
+1 “Last year, a top-secret memo sent to every C.I.A. station around the world warned about troubling numbers of informants being captured or killed, a stark reminder of how important human source networks are to the basic functions of the spy agency.” https://www.nytimes.com/2022/08/26/us/politics/trump-affidavit-intelligence-spies.html |

American intelligence is terrible
How do I know? I was offered a job at cia! And it was not my top choice — I got dinged at every trading job You aren’t getting Jane street/pdt/citadel level people who join the IC! |
You can not stay on a high alert indefinitely. Countries military and intelligence capabilities wax, wane, reflect internal strife and become complacent specially if you are behind a wall. At the start of the Vietnam war the US had very professional highly motivated military by the end of the war it was a shadow of itself. The internal politics of Israel has created some winners and losers. The winners(1/5 of the Jewish population)are exempt from military service, get paid by the state to study, are the fastest growing segment and scorn others as not being true Israelis. This builds resentment. If certain groups can get out of fighting it cause resentment. |
LOL. I’ve met plenty of trading world characters. These are not people you would entrust national security matters to. |
Trump said he believed Putin over US intelligence agencies and politicized the agencies. Now think about if you were a foreign national spying for the US risking your life…no thank you! |
I would 100% trust ray dalio or Ken Griffin to analyze a situation and think of 2nd,3rd,4th order effects more than Jake Sullivan or Tony blinken I’m not smart enough to work at citadel or Jane street but having worked in the natsec space for some time it is peak “midwit” |

A friend went out with someone who was in intelligence. How did she know? First he outed himself by telling her he worked for the State Department (so does she) and saying he worked in a building she knows no one works in. So she asked him if he is in intelligence- yes. Then, when she got home, he confused her with another woman in his texts.
So no, I don’t have a ton of faith in American intelligence. |
I really don’t think you’d want to live in a world without the CIA. You have no idea how many terrorist activities they have thwarted, around the globe - and you’ll never find out, either - because those operations are not made public. But do go on. |
Good grief. Here we have the typical DCUM ignoramus. Keep on trolling… |
Exactly. What a dunce. |
Key words bolded. Enough said. DP |

Egypt is claiming they tried to warn Israel and were ignored.

Don’t forget the Russian collusion & his psycho- racist desire to build an unnecessary border wall when the border is shut down tighter than a drum. And he probably puts too much salt on his vegetables. |
