He's been an incredible survivor, but Israelis are unforgiving about security lapses and military failures. Screw up and you're fired.

So it's likely he is done.

Many of our intel types need to go. Too political, too press focused. We need a revamp and a concentration of resources in a few organizations. The splintering and rivalries are just plain stupid and can be dangerous.

He managed to form a unity government. He isn't going anywhere.

I do not think he is going anywhere. Even thought this is totally his fault - giving Hamas control of Gaza, supporting Hamas, pulling troop from the Gaza border, dividing Israel, etc. Israelis will rally to him. If he leaves he faces prison on corruption charges. I can not believe he made a deal with the devil but I can believe the devil stabbed him in the eye just for fun,

The other thing is I do not think this was Iran and Russia’s response. They are planning something. Israel military is in shambles. They can not fight a two front war.

We really need Ukraine to hurt the Russian right now. Otherwise Russia and Iran will focus on a weakened Israel.

I hope republicans will come to their senses but I feel they have made a similar deal with Russia as Netanyahu made with Hamas.

US Intelligence (CIA) along with Egypt warned Israel (Bibi) and gave Israel a heads-up. The warnings were clearly ignored.

So why would the GOP shut down the House and ignore pleas for funding Ukraine?

(a rhetorical question, of course)

CNN: On Oct. 6, the day before the attack, US officials circulated reporting from Israel indicating unusual activity by Hamas — indications that are now clear: an attack was imminent.

So basically, Bibi ignored the threats and sacrificed over a thousand of his citizens to hold on to power.

Newest polls released today shows Gantz crushing Bibi at the polls. Their parties were running neck-and-neck two months ago. Likud Cabinet members are getting chased out of the hospitals and funerals by pissed off doctors and family members of the victims.

Likud is toast.

Hamas blew multiple holes through the border wall, disabled the early warning systems, and over-ran multiple entry check points and military outposts. Further, Israel had the border completely under-manned and staffed mostly by reserve soldiers (not the full-time professional soldiers).

Israel was caught completely flat-footed. It's almost incomprehensible.

+1. I still can’t get over what a security failure it was.

The overconfidence in the high tech wall,
plus the belief that Hanas had no will to fight,
Combined with an emphasis on settling West Bank and the troops needed to do that.

Three miscalculations

GoPro video recovered from some of the Hamas terrorists shows one set of gates to the border wide open. It's clear that they were not blown or forced open. Absolutely incredulous.

Either there are ongoing investigations that no one is talking about, or they were basically allowed free entry to intentionally stir up the pot. If the latter is the case, we may never know.
