Schools accepting late apps

VA schools are too far.

We were waitlisted at GDS, Maret and Beauvoir. Rejected at Sidwell.

Any other ideas for schools that may still have K openings?

When did you call?
Also, you are considering a WIDE range of schools. I hope that you get the one you really want.

You know, I think she knows that. She's in a tough position. Let's give her a break.

They are all nurturing schools, at least that's what I'm hearing at the playground and reading here. They all fall in line in the less-traditional and more nurturing spectrum and are geographically reasonably located from our home. I just wish we had cast a wider net in the fall.

Lowell school has a handful of openings at pre-K I think and at some of the other grades. I don't think they have anything at K though.

Does anyone know if Norwood or WES accepting late apps?

Both WES and Norwood are accepting late applications for K. You should call the admissions offices for more information as stated previously in this thread.

I think that The British School might still be accepting applications. They doubled the size of the lower school when they moved to their new campus.

Lowell, CHDS, Norwood, WES, and British School all still have Pre-K and/or K spots? What's the scoop? Do these schools just have a lot of families turning them down, or did they just not have a lot of applicants this year?
Anonymous
Norwood does not have pre-K. I don't think they have any K spots open either--if they are indeed taking late applications, I think it would be for the wait list.
