1. The one hour bodycam video of police intervention
2. The video link to van location submitted to FBI and then posted to social media that led to her body within 24 hours
3. The transcript and update of a 2nd witness call to 911 stating BL hit, slapped and locked GP out of van

The officers are at fault. Whether the dispatcher screwed up, the officers ignored, or both...BL would have been arrested on DV charges and jailed.

Things may have turned out differently, as a result. Maybe not. Timing is important.

One more thing. I've not posted an opinion on anything, just facts. Now I will. She had 2 sets of parents, and friends who were aware of BLs controlling behavior. That's 4 parents, one friend who's given interviews. Not a single one flew Gabby home, or got on a plane to bring her home. She was failed by the LE, the system, and her family. The only victim is Gabby.

Wait, sorry if I missed something. Is it possible the officers who pulled them over and spoke to them in the video knew that an eyewitness had called and said he saw Gabby being slapped etc? I thought that was later.

August 12th caller (same day officers intervened):

“I’m right on the corner of Main St by Moonflower… I’d like to report a domestic dispute,” the caller says in the 49 second audio recording on August 12

“The gentleman was slapping the girl… they ran up and down the sidewalk, he proceeded to hit her and then they drove off.”

Don't be surprised when you see footage of this incident. 100 percent certain somebody's camera caught at least some it. I'm sure LE is on it.

To add, it also appears to be a backpack similar to one he has carried.

He would have been booked and maybe spent a night in jail. That maybe would have changed the outcome based on emergency protective order, but those are only worth the paper they’re written on especially when two people are living in a van away from most of their associates and can generally get back together without much oversight from any other party. These situations are really complex. I do wish it was different but generally even being booked on DV charges (esp first time misdemeanor) rarely alters the trajectory of these relationships.

Again I do really wish it was different. But I think there’s not as much enforcement as people think on these kind of charges. Even if it did make it to court one way or another. They need cooperation to some extent from the victim, but the victim is in a position where that’s hard or unsafe or impossible to do at the time. And sometimes it is even more dangerous in a sense to leave someone with those behaviors feeling like they have nothing left, since they’re not going to get a life sentence. Even as the family there is only so much you can do. You yourself are also in danger, being lied to and misled. Trust me, I have sadly been through this. I have a sibling who survived an attempted DV murder. My sibling did eventually escape, but it was not a linear process at all and protective orders were violated (even when a judge refused to remove the protective order as requested). We had a woman in the DC area who was killed this past year when her attacker was released from jail pending charges. And that was in a rare case where a judge actually approved holding someone for a period of time, but then allowed their release because the trial was delayed. In VA with charges like BL would have faced based on that body cam, the court process can be dropped by settling “restitution” with the victim and cases are often settled/dropped this way.

I thought he drove the van back to Florida. Does this mean he flew home, flew back to Utah, then drove the van to Florida?

Yes, that's the timeline.

I thought timeline was, correct if I'm wrong. .

Aug 23 - Brian flew home

Aug 24 - Brian flew back on red eye to Utah

Aug 24-27 - texts back and forth between Gabby cell and her parents. Allegedly from Gabby

Aug 27 - vlogger video of the van near where body was found. Can see someone closing back door when vlogger drives by, and what appear to be Brians sandals only on ground.

Aug 27th - Gabby cell phone unreachable.

Aug 30th - Gabbys parent receives weird text that her cell phone has no service.

Sept 1st, Brian back home with van

Good time line, except they were Gabby’s sandles. They found her body near where vlogger captured the van. She likely died that day (August 27). Need autopsy report of time of death and toxicology report.

PP is correct. It's national news because she's a pretty white girl. I haven't seen any media coverage about Lauren Cho's disappearance.

There is literally NO PROOF that he flew home Aug 23-24. It was in a Daily Mail article with no corroboration. Where are you getting this from, if not from the Daily Mail?

I STILL want to know why her mom waited so long.

and how many Black people was murdered in Chicago all this time, but the police aren’t even looking for the killers? This whole story is only more white privilege/ systemic racism in America.

And I should specify that full cooperation is not always required based on the evidence or offense level (example in my post of judge refusing a request to remove protective order). But I mean at some level it is obviously required, whether that is calling 911 to report or giving testimony that can satisfy the charging elements. And doing this puts victims in an extremely hard spot. They are often looking at a case that will result in little or no time in custody for the offender, but would suffer retribution. Besides the fact that they are being gaslit and in a position where they lie to family and friends. Trust me I used to think why don’t people just do X, Y, or Z. Why don’t they just go get their family member? Then I lived through this situation.

They NEVER met the murdered couple. The only connection is that one of the women who was murdered worked at the cafe near where Brian/Gabby were arguing. They were shot, police have said the cases aren't connected. READ

We don't know whose flip flops they were. Both Brian and Gabby had similar flip flops.

Wow, actually the Lauren Cho case has stunning parellels to the Gabby case. She disappeared in the same month. Also was a long-time NYC/NJ resident. Get this - she even gave up her job in education to renovate a school bus into a food truck!

Just like Gabby and her van to Juice Bar 'business'. Also a stunning girl as well who was last seen after fighting with her boyfriend in the vehicle (in this case the bus).
