| Thank you...this is great. I hear that this team is really strong. Interesting that there are a lot of Whitman kids. Will that tip the balance of power in the MOCO publics from Churchill to Whitman? |
2021 hasn't started high school yet. How can there be Whitman kids? |
| 2021 DC Express is starting to get noticed. But will this trickle down to 2022, 2023, etc.? That's the real test. |
|
the rest of the teams are pretty weak.
DC Express is a two year experiment. |
My apologies if the fact that these boys have not started HS somehow impacts your life.... The boys that will attend Whitman in six weeks....is that better for you? |
As long as they make the team again come August. |
| I suspect a few of the top kids will be picked away by mad lax or crabs when recruiting kicks in after these kids sophomore years. |
The DC Express 2021 team has beaten the crabs the last several years. Madlax struggling. Winless in the elite tourneys. Many boys from these programs in the DC/Northern Virginia market are trying to get into this program. Their tie-in with long island express is smart, provides access to very best recruiting events and national exposure. |
How can this be? It was the first year of the Express program. |
Nobody from VA is going to DC Express. It is a very good team. Rest of the club is garbage. |
Are you calling kids garbage? If so, you are truly a creep. |
| So I've been casually perusing this monster of a thread on and off for awhile, in part because my private school kid seems interested in the sport. I assumed that lax was a preppy, private school sport. I actually ended up attending one of these "showcase" events and was surprised by the amount of blue collar moms and dads from Long Island, Jersey, and B'almere. What gives? Is the lax persona double sided? |
In some parts of the country, the best lacrosse is played in the private schools. Baltimore is a good example of that. But in others, like New York, the public schools dominate. |
|
In most parts of the country though, outside of the state of NY and Mass, private schools tend to be leaps above the public schools programs when it comes to fielding competitive lacrosse programs.

the 21 Rebels team is ok. I think there is more talent on the 21 Renegades team, but even if they combine, they will not be able to compete with M&D, Heros, Skywalkers. They have lost their best talent, But Kelly is a good coach.
Haight should look closer to what he is doing, throughout his club, he has continuously lost his top talent and not been able to keep them. This goes for Rebels as well as Good Counsel. |
