I have a question to all the Israel and Middle East experts, but mainly the Israel apologists.
I see there is no exit plan for this war, ground troops are going to be engaged for a long time, civilians are going to die or starve. So what is the likelihood of this conflict not escalating? Are the neighboring nations really not going to do anything? And if you still defend Israel on this, what would it take for you to actually not agree anymore? Surely an attack from neighboring nation would be devastating when all military forces are focused on Gaza Am I the only one who thinks Netanyahu should retire |
So much talk and rhetoric on here and irritation with Jews and Israel. But despite the keyboard warriors (that is all they are, they cannot fight back for some reason in a ear they started with Israel so they are using the power of the internet to tell Isreal pretty please stop hurting us)
Israel will not cease to be a country. Jews will continue to exist as a people. |
Yes. Lost in all of this chatter is the mis governance by Netanyahu that is going to make it very difficult to “win” anything. War has always been f’ed up though and it is unrealistic to think Israel wouldn’t defend itself (Netanyahu or any other government). To say Israel has no right to defend itself is IMO antisemitic. To say that Netanyahu dug a huge hole is not antisemitic. (Most Jews I know think this. I don’t think I know a single Jew who supports Bibi or is totally comfortable with AIPAC.) |
Dictionary, girl. It’s also debatable whether it’s indiscriminate. But, yes, every life lost in a war is tragic. Hamas could surrender. It shouldn’t have started this war but they don’t give a shit about their own people. |
If Gaza didn't want its people to suffer it should have not started a war. Neighboring nations do not care enough to get involved. What would it take for people to defend Israel? Now you see the limits of rhetoric and anger and passion, you can have all this and show it to the world but eventually it is not enough and people will begin to use their common sense and decency. Once people start using common sense and decency, your slyness and artful words ("there will be no peace untill..."--so you will violent till you get your way "what about OUR babies!"--Israel's babies do not matter?) will show that you are not the side to align with. |
Fixed typo |
Billions are given to Israel each year. Isreal wouldn't exist without the help of the US. Germany owes you land. |
It’s very clear the propalestine voices here do not want Jews on the land of Israel. Germany? Gtfo. We can’t take you seriously when you wail about genocide and make those comments. |
Given that the clock is not going to rewind to 10/6 much less 1948, I’d like the Palestinian freedom fighters in here to tell me what they want for the Palestinian people that doesn’t call for the annihilation and extermination of Israel and the Jews living there? |
These things are not synonymous. |

Crickets again. |

Israel will not cease to be a country. Jews will continue to exist as a people. These things are not synonymous. Yes...that is why they are two separate sentences. But both are still true. |
That is a very wonderful and useful rhetoric All that aside, I do not see peace as a reality. There would have to be major concessions on both sides and a concrete plan for how to implement the 2 state solution, If peace doesn’t come, I see Israel as inevitably being at war with more nations |
We seem to support Israel for ever. Ukraine is for a specific period. If Israel will collapse without massive US support, they need to figure out how to get along in the region. Jews like to act like Israel is amazing but it is nothing without the US. Get real and stop living in your imaginary world. |
