They HAVENT been making more over time. That’s what articles like this is pointing out. https://www.looper.com/128174/what-solos-failure-means-for-the-future-of-star-wars/ |
| Thank god they put a muzzle on Rose, that is about the only improvement for episode 9. |
Yuck. IMO Hayden and Natalie had the most awkward interactions. He was a terrible choice for Anakin Skywalker. I don't love Rey and Kylo as a couple, but they have actual chemistry. AOTC attempt at romance was cringey - floating food flirting? Seriously? |
Umm ... ok. Palpatine didn’t even actually come back alive. He was essentially a force ghost, you twat. Keep up. |
That’s about Solo, not the canon trilogy films. |
DP. I watched the Clone Wars, and I agree that Lucas degraded the series with the prequels. The midiclorians undermined the entire concept of the Force in the later movies, and while I don't love episodes 7-9 wholeheartedly, they're unquestionably better than what Lucas has planned for those movies. |
Ah. That makes sense. The poster who is claiming the movies didn't make money is borderline incomprehensible (using English words but does not seem to understand what they mean). Probably best not to engage. |
+1 Hayden and Natalie are so painful to watch I close my eyes at a few points when I watch the prequels. |

Stop giving me flashbacks, PP! |

I thought the prequels had several awsome characters that could have been used better/differently/ more often (Qui Gon, Obi Wan, Mace Windu, Darth Maul, Jango Fett, Yoda).
However the actor portrayal of Anakin, endless scenes about politics and bad script really destroys this trilogy. And then there is Jar Jar.... As far as the 7,8,9. I enjoyed Kylo Ren but I don't really gravitate towards Rey, Finn or Poe or any of the others really. Captain Phasma was pretty awful. Rose is terrible and shouldn't even been in the movie, DJ was unnecessary too. But its always good seeing a fellow Sicario find work. |
+1 I would much rather have seen Qui Gon and Obi Wan going on adventures, Mace an Yoda doing bad ass force stuff. Instead we get a whiney little pod racing twat, and the most painful relationship to watch since Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. |
Well gotta take into consideration the 5 year age gap between them that may have contributed to the "awkwardness" of Anakin and Padme's romance. |
10 years. Honestly as for the new characters, I love them — especially Rey. She’s so cool. And I love that they have a ex-Stormtrooper. That’s definitely new. |
No...they're 5 years apart. In "The Phantom Menace" (Episode I) Anakin is 9 and Padmé is 14 In "Attack of the Clones" (Episode II) which is set ten years later Anakin is 19 and Padmé is 24. |
