I thought the story line was good. I think some of you complainers need to lighten up and just enjoy it for what it is -- a science fantasy movie that is meant to entertain people for a few hours.

I felt like this one had more dialog and story than the SOLO or the one where Kylo killed his father. I'd prefer that they lose about 90% of the starship battles and light saber battles, but aside from that, it was good.

If you’re a lifelong fan of the saga, this movie introduces things never done before that don’t make any sense and retroactively ruin the original trilogy. That’s why people have issues with it.

I am a lifelong, serious fan and I totally disagree with this assessment.

Another lifelong fan, and I also totally disagree with pp.

I didn’t say EVERYONE, I said people.

Sorry hun, but you two don’t represent everyone. So shutup

You're a moron, I see.

Hmm, you could have made a substantive response about the flaws you perceive with the movie, but instead you told people who disagree with you to shut up. Somehow I’m not persuaded by your argument.

It was one of the worst Star Wars movies out there. Even worse than the prequels. It was boring and predictable. If they can heal people with the force, why didn’t they do that in the original episodes? So stupid. No wonder the movie didn’t do so well in the box office.

Um, you call first weekend sales of $176 million in the U.S. and $374 million globally not doing so well? It’s one best opening-weekend performances of 2019.

It’s the lowest opening of the Star Wars films, so yeah it’s not good.

I loved the visual of Palpatine using his force lightning on all the rebel ships above him. That was cool. And I didn’t want to punch Finn in this one, so that’s a plus!

I thought it was pretty good but some random stuff in there. What happened to Rose Tico? she had like 2 lines in this movie. And she basically professed her love to finn in the last movie and that follow up was completely left off. Then Finn says to Rey "I need to tell you something...." and then NEVER tells her. He seemed like he was in love with her the whole time but then they threw in the black girl who also seemed to be a love interest. Except it seemed like LAndo was gonna hit on her at the end which was just creepy and not needed at all.

PP were people complaining about the lesbian kiss or the kylo/ren kiss? I think Adam Driver is so offing annoying. His voice, his face etc.

I think you misread the Lando thing: I think Lando will turn out to be her father or grandfather -- new story line of the stolen storm trooper children.

+1 That's the opening for another movie or Disney + show.

I really liked the movie. Yes, there are plot holes and inconsistancies but I choose to ignore them and enjoy the movie. Yes, I cried when Chewie got his medal.

It’s lower than Episodes VII and VIII, but better than Rogue One and Solo. One of the three had to be lowest of the three, that doesn’t mean it’s not a success.

Nobody ever said it wasn’t a success. Just it didn’t do as well as the others.

It sucks. It feels like some twilight fan fiction set in Star Wars. Why is Rey kissing Kylo Ren when they had zero romantic chemistry? Rey and Finn had a lot more chemistry.

Star Wars needs to be retired.

What’s “The Last Skywalker”?

My ranking, best to worst:

4, 5, 7, 9, 6, 3, 2, 1

There is no possible way anyone rational could rank episode 1 over any other.

You are hardly a true fan if you think Star Wars is just this set of characters and this storyline. My younger DD has watched Rebels for years and read the books. The Mandalorian is growing a whole new segment of fans. What are sneering at is one segment that ended with this film.

You forgot 8.

True fan? You just mentioned unrelated shows for the main movies yet try to say I’m not a true fan?

Do you realize that Rebels and Mandalorian are completely different from the Episodes 1-9... 1-9 focuses on the Skywalkers and Palpatine. The aforementioned like Rebels and Mandalorian do not.

Clone Wars relates to Episode 2-3. Those are the only animated series that fit into the Episodic movies.

Force healing is not something just any Jedi can do whenever they want. It's a light side ability and not everyone has it. Rey developing it makes sense since she's very strong in the light side. Kylo being able to do it makes less sense EXCEPT for the fact that (he said during the movie) the two of them are a force "dyad" so two parts of the same whole.
