For PK3 (did not list out in-bound early action because we don't consider it an option):

1. ITS
2. TR 4th
3. Lee Brookland
4. EL Haynes
5. Seaton
6. Langdon Montessori
7. CHM @Logan
8. CMI
9. Langley
10. TR Young
11. Burroughs
12. Bridges

Swami appreciates your feasible list, and you will in the next five hours receive an offer for Langdon Montessori. You will lament your ranking all summer under the spray canopies at Langdon Park, but end up sticking with what you have and enjoying a great year of a non-stressful commute.

DC Bilingual
Stokes Brookland (Spanish)
Stokes Brookland (French)
Inspired Teaching
Bruce Monroe (English dominant- IB)
Mundo Verdo- 8th St
Yu Ying
Breakthrough Montessori (Petworth)
Creative Minds
Dorothy Height
Garrison
Raymond

Swami believes that sometimes good intentions can be rewarded, and yours will be. You'll freak out tomorrow when you only match at Height, but you will slowly come off of waitlist over the summer, with numbers ranging from 10-30. Your final destination will be MV8th, after getting offers from CMI, MV8 and Bruce Monroe.

1. SWS
2. Maury
3. Brent
4. 2 Rivers
5. Ludlow-Taylor
6. 2 Rivers Young
7. CHML
8. Peabody

Will stay at our IB if we strike out. Fully aware 2, 3, 5 & 8 there is no chance, but just listed in case a meteor strikes, since we only have 4 schools. (Happy enough at our IB that we don't want to commute anywhere.)

Never fear, your Trader Joes shopping daily is near! After an initial no match, you'll land at TR4th by July 4th, and will pick up a monthly clinic escort shift at PP while you are there.

Weird. Why? That is, why wouldn't those sibs have enrolled in PK3?

Would have to be that they didn't apply for whatever reason.

16 of 29 PK3 seats last year went to siblings.
0 siblings applied in Pk4 last year.

Yeah, I know... That’s why it makes no sense. I’m guessing that poster was a troll or got PK3 and 5 confused.

Nope, not a troll and not confused.

I will Swami until my favorite Swamiing starts-- waitlist movements! I agree with a poster on another thread that this is a good lottery year for those in the Brookland/Eckington/Woodridge/LamondRiggs/MichiganPark area... AND for those looking for Montessori.

You'll have to suck it up and get on board with MV with an offer from 8th. Perhaps with a family summer AirBNB for a week in Costa Rica? Or with margaritas at Santa Fe not on nurse's night?

You’re seriously suggesting there are 8 PK4 siblings of SWSers who didn’t start last year for some reason who are now enrolling? Given that every sibling matched for PK3 last year, that sounds... unlikely?

Because their parents didn’t want them in a full day program yet?

I wish I had a reason to even post. Not even a chance, for yet another year. Guess it is time to start looking at open houses in MoCo.
