Thomson
SWW - Francis Stevens
Hyde-Addison

We have no preference for anything and chose strictly based on our commute (we live in Upper NW where there are no PK3s). My personal swami guess is that we'll be in day care for another year...

Did you work across the hall from me until very recently? If so, I stick with my original prediction and in person Swamiing that you'll be in daycare with the CBOC recommendation.

-Swami

Ha! No! Must have been someone else! And I have no idea what CBOC means...

Does anyone else think they know who Swami is? I'm reading this thread to confirm my suspicions.

Not swami but wanted to compliment you. This is a solid list of wish schools and realistic alternatives. Well done.

I don't know why Lee Montessori isn't in there if Breakthrough Montessori is. Same distance from Bruce Monroe neighborhood as ITS. They did make Tier I this year.

Not everyone has to think the same of each school as you. Maybe PP would only be willing to commute to the schools in NE that s/he listed. Maybe s/he is not thrilled with Montessori but will settle for one that is not too far.

PK4 list:

1. SWS
2. Maury
3. Brent
4. 2 Rivers
5. Ludlow-Taylor
6. 2 Rivers Young
7. CHML
8. Peabody

Will stay at our IB if we strike out. Fully aware 2, 3, 5 & 8 there is no chance, but just listed in case a meteor strikes, since we only have 4 schools. (Happy enough at our IB that we don't want to commute anywhere.)

Weird. Why? That is, why wouldn't those sibs have enrolled in PK3?

Would have to be that they didn't apply for whatever reason.

16 of 29 PK3 seats last year went to siblings.
0 siblings applied in Pk4 last year.

Swami says you'll get in under the wire to TR Young... and then complain about kids in PK3 doing worksheets.

-Swami

That’s bizarre. I don’t think my preschooler ever did a worksheet at TRY

Yeah, I know... That’s why it makes no sense. I’m guessing that poster was a troll or got PK3 and 5 confused.
