She pays child support, but it's less than, and deducted from, the alimony he pays her.

It's not a great outcome. It's really hard on the kids to have a parent disappear. It's also hard because she keeps repeating the lie that he "stole" the kids, and other things that make him look like a villain. She puts these things on social, and her kids' friends parents read them, and rumors get back to his kids. Or they won't let their kids come over because they think he's a bad person.

Also, women feel entitled for that past effort but the law does not look at that

Women often block the dads with claims they are the only ones who can do it, especially feeding.

My neighbor did this. Then she complained to me when her kids would cry at “dad scenes” at movies. She was not terribly compassionate

She probably believes he ‘"stole" the kids” from her perspective. That’s though. Love it tough. Having a children shared between conflict-ridden adults is tough.

Can be anything, but probably substance abuse combined with mental health issues...maybe suicidal? Making unfounded false accusations against the spouse during the divorce and/or failing court ordered psych eval (making suicidal statements that shows possible harm to a child). I am speaking from experience here.

Oh I am sorry to hear that.

If a parent is suicidal and depressed her children can be taken away permanently— if her former asks for it. The Court will generally give her “eye on” visitation with their children.

This is what happened to RFK Jrs wife before she finally committed the act - and died. Her housekeeper (who was also the Courts approved supervisor) found her. Her husband worked to protect the children from seeing that.

All his kids are grown and love their dad very much. It was all very sad.

Since she is a teacher, she has access to a lot of kids. There are memes and youtubes about this. They even show you the texts!

If the lady disciplined (physically) kids,
that is enough

OP could ask her
