Complete Loss of Custody- Mom

Anonymous
I personally know a lady who home schooled her daughter. The dad has a very alpha job.

Dad goes for full custody and wins. Mostly because the mom was unreasonable and asked the court to continue homeschooling. Both are very religious. I saw her CV and she was highly educated. She is explained her home school curriculum and it sounded awesome.

That was fascinating. I do think, in that case, she was myopic and Father out muscled her. Father had an important job. He was probably an outstanding person too (outside of his marriage).

Anyhow, she was devastated and a mess. Her religious friends blamed her, mostly.

Plot twist — OP is asking about herself.

The woman in question is refusing to share the circumstances but she does have two DUIs from years ago.

She was otherwise a mild mannered, calm, gainfully employed at the same place (HS teacher) for 15 years.

She is apparently only permitted to have a 2 hour supervised visit once a month now.

A lot of times they have vindctive ex husbands who will spend any amount of money to punish their ex wife for leaving them. On the other hand, sure, sometimes there are bad moms who did bad things. It's really hard to judge just from the loss of custody alone.

Yeeeaaahhhh, no. Pretty much every single dad I know had an uphill battle with custody. It was just assumed the mom would get them.

THIS +1 million.

The assertion that courts are biased against women in custody matters is utter horseshit

No one said there was an outright bias.

It is just not uncommon anymore in nasty, litigation-heavy divorce or family splits. And some have compiled evidence about how spouses use children to “get back” or “gain power” through the courts. It can be male or female.

I think JD Vance’s Grandma took custody. Some rich or jealous husbands take custody. There are as many scenarios are there are people !

Yeah...no, that's not how that works. You can't be piece of sh** abusive person in your marriage, but be an "outstanding" person otherwise. That guy sounds like a monster and what he perpetrated against the mom is awful. And who knows what he did behind closed doors. What a b*st*rd.

In this case, the mom was myopic and rigid. I felt like I had to “show” her that public school was not that bad. She wants to continue her old pre-divorce world. (She was in the mddioe of the law suit and still married). I sent her photos of me at a PTA meeting. I took her callsS Things like that.

It was a very sad case. That guys was maybe a jerk. I never met him. But the real world/reality is that no one cares what happens in the home. yeah…

She was super smart but very stressed. I mentioned to her back then that she was not “presenting “ well over the phone. She came off as argumentative. I hope she is doing okay. From one mom to another!

Sounds like you are the one putting up the barriers.

OP: What happened with this mild mannered mom/teacher with a wild past? What did you learn? What is the point of your post?

Are you able to Google or are your hands tied?

But, in that case, wouldn't the mom just say "He outspent me"?

Refusing to provide an answer is a HUGE warning sign. I'd worry about it beingsomething she was doing that endangered the kids, like dating a pedo or leaving very young kids unsupervised while she went away for the weekend.

OP, She doesn't owe you or anyone nosey witch an explanation. Keep your nose in your own sewer.

I know two single dads with primary custody of the children because they outlearned mom (by a lot) and she was basically bankrupt before she gave up custody of her children. TWO families. Both dads moved in a new mom (I mean girlfriend) for their children who was basically a younger version of OG mom.
