OP,She could be one of those teachers who molest their kids! Did you search her name?
There has been a rash of women (20-40s) who seduce students (under 18) at school. It could be the reporting but I have read quite a few articles of these court cases. Police are prosecuting now. The victims parents now go to the police station after finding weird stuff on their kids phone. |
This is the story that a mother in my family tells. It is not the truth. The truth is that she was tired of parenting and signed away her rights. She doesn't have supervised visitation though. |
I have never done a divorced parent with weird arrangement to tell the truth. I assume they are all crazy! |
Yep, tale as old as time. And it's horrible. |
What is the real story? Does this family member visit with/parent children? |
I don’t know. What state? Are we sure these single childless ladies really exist? They are like hermit crabs? |
That teacher-lady be touching. |
They had a temporary agreement with 50/50 but she never took her time, so he proposed a settlement where he had primary custody and she had visitation. She doesn’t take them for the scheduled time but the kids go to her parent’s regularly and she will show up for special occasions every few months. |
Sounds like a nice voluntary outcome. Did he ask for child support from her? |
Many women don’t like paying child support because they feel it’s unfair. The reason is that the women (on average) typically do more child wearing than Dads in the early years and they want credit for that!
Also, women feel entitled for that past effort but the law does not look at that |
People usually get attorneys to go to court to get the other spouse to pay for support, which is an entitlement.
Child support and child support interact. Spouse support can be “discounted” basically by time with the kids (time is a unit that is this is used to calculated monthly payments (in dollars) to the “other parent.” Therefore more child time = less expenses. More income and less expenses is good! That’s why people fight using attorneys. |
Child support and Spouse support interact.
Ah, sorry about that ! |
Basically, you never know the “true” motivations of these parents. You just go off of the story that your friend or family member tells you!
Most people are not friends and speak deeply with both parents who are breaking up. So there is no way to verify. But you can make observations. Motivation is more difficult to decipher |
Women often block the dads with claims they are the only ones who can do it, especially feeding. |
There are abusive moms
There are moms with addictions There are moms with major mental health issues There are moms who don't want to be moms My brother eventually got full custody of his kids. His ex wife had mental health issues, ran off with another man, abandoned the kids initially, then came back and took them, then neglected them, then emotionally abused them, then abandoned them again, then took them again, then refused to let my brother see them, then dumped them at my brothers, then randomly showed up and took them, then got scared of losing custody and had them more often but didn't feed them or look after them or get them to school. Eventually after ten years of court trips and countless thousands of $$, my brother got full custody. Basically because the kids got older and refused to go to their moms or have anything to do with her. But the kids had to ensure ten years of trauma before that happened. |
