Yes with her hand and also a yard stick. I remember my mom chasing me around the house with the wooden yard stick. She also locked me in my room which sent me into a panic every time.

We don't have a close loving relationship today. I can't see why any kid would have warm feelings about someone who spanked them. I know some do, I just don't understand how.
