They rather have expensive fixtures in a flipped house in boonies than change some dam fixtures in a great house in a great location.

Relatedly, people who purposefully put extra lines in their response so that it stands out more on the page, but also never have anything particularly useful or inserting to contribute.

Excuse me but there are more than one of us. In this post I will explain how the anonymity of DCUM gives people who feel silenced in their daily lives an opportunity to word vomit their alarmingly well researched and articulated opinions on marriage, child rearing, and whether capri pants are "tacky" or not...

I'm wondering if I'm that person.

The person who responded to every thread about cats with, "I hate cats." This was before we had a pet forum. So maybe that has helped cycle out that response.

The person in the relationship forum who responds to soulmate threads with, "Your neighbor is your soulmate."

I enjoy both of those responses. Always right on queue.

They claim to be able to tell the price of fixtures in every room of every house... BTW - they are all cheap - just ask them. It gets old. I'm starting to think they do it as a joke.

I love this poster or posters. Reading or listening in depth analysis of TV shows I enjoy is a longtime hobby of mine. I used to love the Television Without Pity recaps (some of them were like 25 pages long for ONE episode) and the Tom & Lorenzo "Mad Style" recaps of Mad Men episodes as interpreted through the costuming and set design. Seriously one of my top 10 favorite things about the internet.

To be fair, diversity of posters make this forum worth my time. Some ppl bring knowledge, others opinions and some ceazy drama.

Freedom to be anonymous (assuming admins aren't selling info) is what makes this forum different than real life. You can share anything without consequences of saying it to real people. Its helpful or entertaining for most but surely therapeutic for many.
