Gaza War, Part 2

Israel should deal with its own problems.
I am tired of this becoming a US issue.
US Jews often act like they care more about Israel than the US. That is not cool and they need to be called out on that.

And yet you say Israel doesn’t equal Jews. Hypocrite.

I suspect we are going to see attempted terrorist attacks in the US from Hamas or Hamas-aligned operatives. They would be useful fools for Russia and China who would love nothing more than to draw us into a war with Iran in the middle East. A big terror attack in the US would make it hard for Biden to hold back entering the war more directly. It would probably not be that hard to instigate because there are Hamas-supporting jihadists in the US that would be willing to do the dirty work.

It is more disturbing that this blank check to Israel is entrenched in our leadership.

A United States representative even wore his Israeli military uniform to congress. I can’t imagine any elected official doing this for any other country and not being called a traitor.

This is so creepy and wrong. In theory Brian Mast represents Americans in Florida. In reality, this picture tells a very different story.

This is the IDF uniform. The same IDF that is committing genocide in Gaza.

I think they instead are going to use a more sly approach and try to make Amricans think that Isreal is committing war crimes and that America should stop supporting Israel now and also in the long term. Their goal is to see that Israel is deligitimized because they think Israel will cease to exist without U.S. support. See how much the U.S. has been the focus of protests and rhetoric over the past few weeks?

You think Israel will fall and cease being a nation without U.S. support so this is why this is your focus now. You do not care about U.S. domestic issue and so called time being taken away from those (oh but anyway U.S. can do more than one thing at a time, support allies and take care of domestic issues)

+1. I don’t think it is clear cut who should be aided and how, as far as US policy goes. I draw the line at elected US officials serving another country. In corporate America, there are all sorts of rules about insider trading, corporate governance without conflicts of interest. A US lawmaker walking around in an IDF uniform clearly has a conflict of interest.

Nope. People are reacting to the fact that this guy supposedly represents the U.S. first and foremost, but he’s parading around in another country’s uniform.

The only fatal hate crimes happening in the US are against Palestinians.

A 6 year old Palestinian boy was stabbed to death in Chicago to preemptively protect Jews from antisemitism. His mother was also attacked and barely survived.

Your rhetoric is responsible for this boy’s death.

Oy vey.

I dated a Jewish guy not a decade ago whose parents referred to me (a black woman) in derogatory terms - to their son - so eff off.

Huh?

So don’t “oy vey” the idea that some Jews are racist. Thanks and good bye!

I haven’t met any, but I’ll take your word for it.

Jew here. There are elder Jews that are racist. My grandmother would have been considered racist. What she told me is they had a beautiful neighborhood in NYC and as the AAs were moved in, it became seedy and more dangerous, and Jews were forced out to avoid getting hurt.

But, you want Israel to fail, and a way for that to happen is for the U.S. to stop supporting it. That would make you happy.

Ok I am convinced I hate Jews now, thank you for providing the info I needed. That's is! U.S. needs to stop supporting Isreal now! Signed, a black person.

Lol purely propaganda. The residents of Gaza have no power, internet or cell phone service but somehow they will see this Twitter message?

It’s absurd that Israel is expected to provide those things to people who have just butchered their children in their cribs. Millions in aid has been provided to the Palestinians over the years, even more now, and we find out (no surprise) that the people still suffer because Hamas confiscates it all for themselves. I’m sorry that innocents will die, but it’s very important to free the innocent Palestinians from Hamas.
