What are your rules about smoking pot at home?

This is new for us. Our college student is home for the summer and is smoking pot. I don’t like it and need to lay down some ground rules. If I say no pot at home, I don’t want to push them to go somewhere unsafe to smoke. I want them to stop completely. I have a high school-aged child and home and don’t want this around him either. How are you handling a pot-smoking young adult under your roof?

They would not be welcome to stay at my house. There would not BE a pot-smoking young adult (or any age person) under my roof.

Hell no. It stinks to high heaven and that stink doesn’t come out.

Also, only complete losers use pot.

This. HELL no. He does not even have the courtesy to use edibles instead? I would not be ok with THAT either especially with a younger one in the house, but he's SMOKING in your HOUSE? Oh HELL no.

You sit him down and tell him that he is not allowed to use drugs while he is in your house and NO smoking. If he doesn't like it, he can move out, get a job, and pay his own damn rent. Then he's the landlord's problem.
