They got some dirt on LS board members? What’s the explanation for these two to pull in 160k yearly?

I’m looking from an objectives-based, goal-meeting, accomplishment-setting type of evaluation.

Read the 86 pages here and you’ll understand. Come on now, don’t be lazy. Everything you need to know is honestly right here.

I'm trying to be open minded that I don't see every aspect of TSJ and its operations and team environments, but some of the stuff written on this thread just doesn't match my experience. While my kid is not coming back to TSJ next season it wasn't because of the coaches or the culture on the team. In fact, I would say one of the older GA teams our daugther played on was actually full of some of the nicest parents and players we have ever had. Did we win a national championship - no. But we are there for the experience and to play against better competition. Steel sharpens steel so to speak. So I guess people can make whatever they want out of what is said on this thread, but I would say if you are a RL-ECNL or GA2 player and want to have a shot at getting better you will need to play better competition. I don't see many players who have been playing at lower levels beyond the age of 14 really getting much of a shot at ECNL rosters in the area. I can speak from experience that it is possible to spring board up the ladder even if you have to endure situations that may not be perfect. Frankly I don't think anybody can say that there is a club that is perfect in all respects in NOVA, or probably nationally.

For the 2016s and 2017s there was frustration with communication all year, but like you said… Probably typical dysfunction and issues from across clubs. BUT on top of that: they created additional teams for this age group without informing parents (went from 1 team to 3…?), started moving our kids around and rostering them for teams that we didn’t know they were roster for, kids were registered for games back to back in locations 45 minutes away from each other (sometimes last minute), there was no sign of incoming kids for a pipeline, they made staffing changes without even taking a moment to explain why…

There was typical frustration all year, but trust just collapsed between Feb-April.

To this day, no one on the management side has taken the time to address what’s happening. Either they don’t know that 90% of the team is not re-signing, or they don’t care to discuss it.

This was totally preventable… All they had to do was talk honestly to parents. Instead, it’s all smoke and mirrors.

No it isn’t. There is no word that they will not be any pre-academy teams at u9 and u10. Are these changes because of their MLS Next?

Sounds similar to what happened last year to the GA teams. Management was slow to respond to concerns and was surprised when 90% of the players did not return. I guess they didn't learn anything from last year.

Unsure why, but almost the entire U9 team (upcoming U10) is leaving and there hasn’t been much of a turn out for try outs.

Is he even still here? I'm not even sure since I don't have a lot of insight into boys stuff. Honestly, he's a great administrator so it would suck if we lost another great person.

He sure is not at the Broad Run Varsity games. So if he is not there, where is he?

Relying on a single individual violating its dcu agreement by playing hs does not yield team results.

My experiences are with the GA North program. I can’t speak to the boys side.

They are cleaning house and working to create a friendly and supportive culture.

The toxic parents have mostly left
but some still remain. I hope they can change their ways and adapt to the new culture BC is trying to create.

BC and his team want to teach GREAT soccer. Not track. Not boot it ball.

They are offering extra programming that my friends in other clubs have to find private trainers for. Rigorous summer training schedule, strength training, conditioning, futsal, nutrition.

BC & other new coaches say they see soccer as training for life. I agree.

I’ve met new families and seen quality players. Of those I’ve met, which certainly isn’t everyone, new players have come from other local clubs. A few are new to the area.

GA Director is amazing, passionate, and seems very sincere. I hope he can bring his vision to life.

We have our fields, trainings and events locked for the summer. Not yet sure about the fall as is typical of most clubs. We are pretty sure we know where we will be but it needs to be confirmed. We do not have our own “home” and I don’t know when/if we will. I’m okay with that for the time being but maybe not forever. For now it’s fine for us.

Club is going through a period of change. I am ok with that because I see a lot of great seeds being planted.

Wow. This is the very first post in the thread written only 10 months ago. One of the worse takes of all time. I feel bad this new parent had to find out the hard way. But it does show that there is a constant supply of unsuspecting parents who will listen and believe promises.

Kind of sad to read that now. I too stayed and was full of hope. They have made it very hard to maintain hope this year. Very hard. I don't know anyone on our team that stayed for the rebuilding with us that is planning on staying. It's really sad because I do honestly believe it would take very little to fix the things that are broken. There ARE some great coaches and Kristin being in charge of GA is a fantastic asset. But, unfortunately they keep losing more and more good people and treat the people who have been loyal like crap. I really want them to be successful. And I do believe a lot of the issues are found other places too.

They're looking into getting Kristin out of her 2 year agreement early with FCV and into VRSC.

That would really be the final nail in the coffin I'm guessing. Can't say I blame her with everything going on.
