Did VRSC lose a bunch of players as a result of FCV coming in? Did they just add teams or replace players on teams? I would be pretty annoyed to be on x team and then a bunch of people waltz in and replace teammates. Yes, its competitive and people get moved down etc. But there would still be residual cultural components to work thru for the people that are legacy VRSC and the incoming girls. Ask anyone who has been thru a badly handled merger/acquisition.

They added new teams. No one is being replaced.

First of all FCV wasn't Toxic and calling all former parents toxic is toxic behavior. The St. James made this situation bad for the coaches and players by promising permanent fields and then not delivering on it New parents are in for a wake up call as soon as you start participating in any national level events. The GA is a competitive league and from what I've seen of the players staying or moving to TSJ, they won't be competitive. This is true even with the best teams moving to ECNL. To BC credit, it appears that he got rid of some of the coaches they announced as GA coaches early on. This will be a net positive for the new TSJ. I wonder if the players these old announced coaches selected for the teams will still be the players. BC was absent from that process. You can claim you are a development club, but when you lose games the best players leave for greener pastures. If BC does manage to turn around the club, you may see some of the old players come back. Do you know what that means for the existing players? It's a business and at the end of the day the club has to be competitive to win. This is true for any club. The best players will seek out the place where they will be trained properly and recruited, wearever that happens to be. It changes from year to year based on results.

Most of the GA 2 players are weaker than rec players at the younger age groups. This typically changes as the light goes off for parents at Loudoun Soccer realize they are being hoodwinked and players move about.

This is the truth. A ton of FCV jerseys at the field this week. The narrative that everybody left is just false. For god sakes I think Revolution was on the main field earlier this week while TSJ was on the far field. I’m sure many of the old parents were breaking their necks trying to figure out if they made a mistake or not.

Yes, I wish there was a way to post photos so I could post them everytime someone says everyone left. It is optional training and the vast majority are returning players. No one used the word toxic to describe anyone. I said disgruntled exiting players, which is accurate if you read the other thread. Just because they're being the loudest doesn't make it factual.

When people say everyone left they are talking about the GA teams. You aren't seeing GA teams on the fields.

It is GA preseason training only right now, but nice try.

Saying it over and over again doesn't make it true. Right now, the only people practicing are the GA/GA2 players aside from the ones who did super y and it is mostly club jerseys out there. It is GA/GA2 preseason optional training. It is mainly club jerseys. I know you really need to push your fake narrative, but it simply isn't reality.

I did say toxic but I don’t mean to paint everyone with that brush. We had good friends that did leave. They are great people. They struggled with the decision but the unknowns made them nervous. We also know some people that are ready for the fresh start in an environment that was not supportive or healthy for their child. Some people were toxic. Some parents and some coaches. This is the case in most clubs. That’s facts. I think we see a disproportionate number of them in this forum actually.

Did DR leave the club? Sounded like it from a previous comment. Where is he going?

He did. And I'm not sure. I couldn't understand BC's explanation. Coaching college level or pursing other things outside of the club. It was a big surprise. And I really liked him. He seemed to be actually interested in the kids and actually teaching them more than one play. But, the new coaches seem great so far.

DR was a bit goofy and not a good coach. They probably fired him. Question remains, did they keep all of the players he selected for the younger GA teams? Most of the old players exited as soon as they found out he was the coach. Now it looks like they may have hired some real coaches. Bc should have been involved in that process. Ball dropped there.

It's going to take a long while to regrow what they lost.

No one cares about the South, though. Sorry y'all are irrelevant on here. How'd the 2014 girls do this season? ... Yeah.... Not great. Watched a few games and pre academy got spanked. Maybe once fields become available you won't practice 3 teams together on a quarter girls at Mason anymore. Fingers crossed!

As a family that just joined, we like the leadership and really hope things work out. But reading the history here it certainly looks like a train wreck

Wow. So AB is the only remaining coach (on the North side)?

Maybe it doesn’t matter. We’ve been impressed with the new coaches.
